Basically everyone is angry at the GOP

Julybaby04, arguing with you is like trying to nail jello to a tree.
Let's look at the facts here.
First, let's plug in the most recent family statistics you've provided:
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff502/Soonyigump/jbabby01_zpse9a8e5f9.jpg

As you can see, if you are truly "unable to qualify for a subsidy", then you and your current husband are making a combined income of more than $126,400
to exceed the subsidy threshold.

Here is your expected contribution for a SILVER plan:
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff502/Soonyigump/jbabby02_zpsb88b48ef.jpg

As you can see, you are expected to pay 11% of your income per year to insure your large family.

11% of an income of over $125,000.

$14,000 per year to insure you, your fifty-something spouse, and your brood of children.

Are you claiming this is too much of a hardship?

There are bronze plans available that knock the cost down to $11,000 per year. Is THAT too much of a hardship?

I find myself having very little sympathy for you if you are unable or unwilling to budget that much money to insure the health of you and your family at that income level.

Ouch, someone is wearing his thong backwards again

Its okay Mooseknuckle

There's an argument here about why states who dislike Government use so much Government assistance. I saw the argument in Jon Krakauer's book "Under The Banner Of Heaven."

This is not to brand all behavior this way but the mindset goes like this:

They are a Mormon or a Militant or an Anti-Government advocate or any flavor of that variety and they really, really don't like the government so much that they consider it an immoral Adversary. They want the government to fail. In a Mormon sense there's a subculture of 'gaming the system' in such a way that if you can get on any form of government assistance to raise the large family that you may or may not be able to support, get on that assistance. Bleed the government dry. It's a moral argument made to bring down the colossus by bleeding it incrementally.

It is not about being unproductive, it is about using the system to bring down the system.

So this is what I see when reason does not apply. True hatred of government takes this form. Fuck it every way possible and do not admit to doing it, it's a strategy, it's a moral argument, it's an imperative.

From their side it's making deals with the Devil to sap the Devil's strength...and no amount of argument from the Devil is going to crack that composure of opposition and justification.

LOLOLOL..This from the DemoCRAP party that LOVES hating God, but truly "gets off" on killing UNBORN BABIES... How's that PARTIAL BIRTH abortion working for your party? Waiting until the babies head comes out and then having a DemoCRAP doctor KILL IT.... DemoCRAPS are the party of the MENTALY ILL, that's why your spokeswoman is Nancy Pelosi, the most mentally ill of ALL!!!...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL... Go back to hitting that crack pipe....

I don't buy that.

Why not? I've seen it happen. When I was with the Church of Scientology the hatred of the outside world and the government and all the corruption resulted in some insular and defensive people who thought just like that. The Church of Scientology has no policy of going on government assistance and distancing themselves as much as possible, but check the statistics on Mormons on public assistance.

These 11 States Now Have More People On Welfare Than Are Employed, NINE of them have majority Democrat party affiliation.(PA).”Death Spiral,” proclaims a chain mail that an Austin reader brought to our attention Dec. 21, 2012.
That’s the headline on a U.S. map with 11 states highlighted and accompanying text that says, “These 11 states now have more people on welfare than they do employed.”
We found the same message and map posted on blogs, discussion groups and Facebook. Even Texas’ attorney general tweeted about it Jan. 7.

Yeah let's see who pays more in taxes and who takes more than they pay. Never trust chain mail, chances are it was written by jenn.

You can't use logic and numbers! That's completely unfair forcing reality on them.

The FREAK Jackass....

They are from SW Georgia which is basically UCLA.

Ugly Corner of Lower Alabama.

This from a PEDOPHILE from who knows where.. Too scared to say? Thought so... Put on your BIG GIRL panties and grow up, little freak.......

I'm beginning to think she's LDS. That might explain why she "can't" get a subsidy.

There's even a slang term for it, but I can't find it. However, there's This Mormon slang...

"Compound Fracture: What happened after the Mormon Church ruled they would no longer practice polygamy - referring to the Fundamentalists who insisted on remaining polygamists and disappeared behind the compound walls, emerging only to collect their welfare checks."

I was not specifically speaking of me. I know you have very little sympathy for anyone unwilling to lose everything for the sake of funding someone's healthcare. There are MANY who will not able to afford it. Simple as that.

(And as far as me, I have said before....for THIS FIRST YEAR.....I will not be able to get a subsidy. I do not have the income you stated above but I had an issue come about which will exclude me from the subsidy. Things are not always as you wish them to be.....everyone is different......things happen to EVERYONE that are not on some freaking chart..... )

If they cannot afford paying 11% maximum of their salary and make more than 400% of the federal poverty level they should not be having children. I believe you insisted on this a few days back when you were nattering "can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em" or something similar.

Quite frankly, I simply don't believe you.

You've pleaded "extenuating circumstances" before.

Like I've said earlier, I suspect you got a one time lump-sum insurance policy proceeds check and have already pissed it away, like many folks do when presented with a financial bonanza.

Because I don't assume malice where good ole fashioned stupid will do just fine. I'm sure there are pockets of people who think like that but I don't think it's the majority. Just like I don't think it's a coincidence that the Tea Party rock signs that say keep the government off my Medicare.

And you don't buy a stated social policy enacted by lots of people because...religious and radicalized people are...reasonable?

It's not about them being reasonable which they are not. They are however generally consistent.
