Baseball!

The Yanks will shock baseball and win the 2013 World Series.....you heard it here first. SI has them at 82-80.....3 rd place behind Tampa and Toronto. Don't count them out....they have a bunch of guys who know how to win. They are longer in the tooth than your average walrus, this much we can't argue about. Experience does go a long way though.

Watching the Yankees.....good thing they play 162......they look like the Mets so far.

Braves!

Home run machine this year, plus like 1000 strikeouts haha

I had a great time last night in Atlanta for Opening Day. It was my first Opening Day game ever. Headed back to Atlanta for the 2nd & 3rd games on Weds & Thurs.

Well, that Opening Day sucked. I'm confident the Cardinals will have a good season, but that was not the way to start it.

In Atlanta for the 2nd game of the series. Hopefully the rain will hold off. I am looking forward to seeing Roy Halladay pitch for the Phils. Go Braves though!!

Like everyone else I am laughing at the guy who bailed and let his girlfriend get hit by the homerun ball Pete Kozma hit last night in Arizona. But that ball went into the stands above the yellow line in CENTER FIELD. That's territory only the big guys reach.

Go Tribe! 2-0 and in first place. Woohoo!

It's probably all down hill from here, but it's great for now! lol

A truly sad anniversary: April 6th 1973: At Fenway Park, Yankees' Ron Blomberg becomes the first designated hitter in major league history. He drew a first-inning walk off Luis Tiant.

MLB had been in a downward spiral ever since.

Astros fan here, even though we will shatter all of the terrible records that you don't want associated with your team.

And I hate AL baseball with the DH so that is going to make this season even harder to watch.

I've seen people that don't like the D.H. I can't really compare to pre-D.H. time because all of my life it's always been A.L. = D.H. & N.L. = No D.H.

I don't care for the D.H. that much personally but it's part of the game. I don't like the rumblings of people that say the National League should have the D.H. though. I disagree completely with that.

Reds are in town for the Cardinals Opening Day. Parade of convertibles, the Clydesdales, Hall of Famers, special ceremony for Stan Musial. The Cardinals do it right.

HA - memories. A few years ago the Clydesdales were here in Cleveland for opening day. The wagon pulled around the field and stopped at home plate for the national anthem. During the singing of which, the Dalmatian riding on the wagon stood, lifted his leg and peed on the cases of Budweiser stacked there.

That's a classic. I would guess that Dalmatian did not stay on the hitch very long.

Well, I am very glad I missed the home opener today. My son wanted to take his buddy so I stayed at home and got a few things done around the house.

I'm sure we'll have a great year.

You probably made the right choice, BV. That 9th inning was brutal, but as they say: "It's a long season." There are going to be a few like that, and a few going the other way.

I don't remember who said it, but the idea is that all teams will win 50 games and lose 50 games. It is how they play the other 62 that matters.

I'm not expecting great things from my club this year (or any year, where I live it doesn't do to get too optimistic about any of the sports teams ) but they haven't looked too terrible so far. With the exception of that awful grand slam. LOL.

I like that outlook SG. A bad day at the ballpark is better than a good day at work.

Two

I have two favorite teams. The World-Champion Giants and whoever is playing the Dodgers!:D
