Come in, pull up a chair and talk baseball.

Your favourite teams, rail against the DH if you wish, point and laugh at the Justin Upton trade, you can do it all here.

Full disclosure: I am a Philadelphia Phillies phan.

Did you see where some guy got hit in the junk by a 94 or 95 mph fast ball against Verlander and the Tigers a cpl weeks ago? Lol

How can you love the Yankees yet have never watched a game?

Marketing?

The Yankees have been the focus of many of the baseball movies I've watched. Also the Yankees have a marketing tie up (not sure if it still exists) with Manchester United (which is my favourite football team).

The only baseball players I know are A Rod and Derek Jeter... and Joe Torre... I remember there was a movie specifically about him.. Not sure if any of them are even still involved with baseball!

Split household here. Milady roots for the Phils, I make noise for the Sox, even though I was a geographic Phils fan for many years and enjoy their success. Plus I love their ballpark, a wonderful place to watch baseball.

I hope Halladay comes around back into form soon. Lester is looking strong for the Sox, and they need him to be great this year. Should be an interesting year all around.

Lester's looked great in Spring Training. Having Farrell back seems to have worked wonders.

Doc's days are numbered, methinks. Unless he can become a finesse pitcher ala Glavine, he's going to have a really hard time of it in coming seasons.

I'll follow the White Sox sometimes, only because I know someone on the team. And my ears perk up when the Yankees are up.

I've only been to one pro ball game. The Rockies and Sox at Mile High. Boy those balls sailed in the thin air.

It won't be very hard to get along with me.

Justin Upton is one of my favourite players and a key member of my fantasy baseball team. I don't really care for B.J. though.

Awesome. Yeah I was a fan of Justin when he was with Arizona, but B.J. always rubbed me the wrong way in Tampa.

On the subject of Halladay, there's actually an interesting article floating around that talks about how most of the pitchers who had thrown the same number of innings as Doc all show a noticeable decrease in stats until the retire. It was mostly talking about guys with pretty similar stats. Clemens, Maddox, Johnson, a few others I think

Thinking seriously about adding the MLB package to watch the Rangers.

$200.

Just don't want to do if they are gonna suck.

Twins fan here. Always just hoping we don't do as bad as last year. Maybe one of the games I attend we'll actually win.

I get the MLB.tv HD package every year. $130 and so long as you have high-speed Internet, it's just like watching TV, though minus the commercials. Sometimes I plug the laptop into the 50" and watch with friends.

And when you can't watch, your subscription lets you listen to home or away radio broadcasts. This comes in particularly handy when I was in the office very late.

Yeah, 85 mph fastballs won't cut it for Roy. But he's a smart guy and a hard worker, so let's hope he figures it out. He's worked that arm pretty hard over the years.

Nonono, can't watch a regular season game live.
Gotta be DVD to fast forward through the slow spots.
I can watch a game in 90 minutes vs 3+ hours.
Watch in regular speed when a runner is on base.

Speaking of baseball, Lit. has a fantasy keeper league if anyone is interested. I think we're still looking for two participants.

Anyone interested, PM me. Only things required of you is to be a baseball fan and an active participant of this weekly league. So, no quitting two weeks in. And, ideally you'll look to play for multiple seasons.

Die hard Cubbies fan....but I go to a lot of Reds games. They are a good team to root for. They fill my #2 spot
