Ban of Gay/Bi foster parents

I'm actually linking you all to a thread on the GB, where LadyG has posted a story about a proposed ban on Gay or Bi people being able to foster children.

It irked the living hell out of me, being bi, and I'd love to hear what you all have to say.

Now Lil, we can't have "your people" turning all the poor foster children homosexual now can we? Think about the children! What would their poor little minds think when they saw two people of the same gender in love? It would be horrendous! They may have already come from horrible conditions or broken families...seeing two men or two women who genuinely care for each other will just kill them. We're thinking about the children!

Thanks 'Lil! It's so fucking ignorant. I have some really wonderful gay/lesbian friends who are wonderful parents, with ages ranging from 8 years old to teenagers. Most of them are involved in school functions and activites with their kids, junior soccer leagues, pony leagues, how normal American is that!?

Talking alone under four eyes there was only one of my friends who really would never think about having homosexual sex. Apart from two gays I do reallx know noone who has rally none bisxual tendecies.
Some time ago they called anyone not heterosexual wired. Now I think "they" are sick!

We have a law that says that any german is obligated to preserve the democracy and the freedom of everyone, if needed by force of weapons. Even against the goverment, if it starts to act against the constitution.
Some times I think we would act to this law, if the situations turns to be like it sometimes happens at the US.


In germany two gay men are not allowed to adopt a child, but two lesbian women, too, as I think.
We have quite high requirements for adoption, the most basic is a complete family with one father and one mother.

A quite smart girl back at school said a man can not replace a mother, but are two fathers worse than no parents at all?
If you're not talking to a totaly dumbass, this point decides any discussion about it.
