I’m new around here and whilst writing my own things from my own experiences I love to read erotica (specifically in my case around bdsm and prostitution / escorting)

Who are the authors that excite you on lit (in any category) and why? I think it would help new readers like me find the best works as there are a lot out there like needles in haystacks.

I would suggest that you look at the bottom of each story category page and see who has written the "hall of fame" stories in each category, and start finding authors that are listed there.

Okay, CurvyMrs. I'll try. Most of these writers are prone to Novels and Novellas.

Lesbian- MelissaBaby. She can make you laugh or cry, too.

It's about a bisexual and a BDSM club, and is a prequel of sorts to my favorite of Melissa's stories about a bisexual free spirit "Ranger Ramona." "Queen of the Roller Derby" is a true lesbian story but be warned it made me cry for the last page and a half. While her stories tend to be long and romantic, if you want to try a short comedy about strippers after hours I recommend "White Castle Christmas."

First time- Michael_Butterfield https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=2023326&page=submissions writes characters with unique backstories, unlikely circumstances and complex plots in which the sex is so interwoven that it's inseparable. I suggest people try his "Imperfections" first, because it's shorter, 5 Lit pages. "Life Raft" is longer and more lighthearted. The other stories are more involved.

First time- BlackRandl1958. https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=2564215&page=submissions I like to read porn that involves fishing. Maybe because my wife taught me how to fish. Anyway, "Fishing with Danni" is a to the point story about a young woman who knows what she wants and overcomes objections until she gets it. She writes lots of good stories.

Group sex- Corrupting Power https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=6196904&page=submissions wrote a story called Quaranteam. The first book took 50 chapters, and he's well into the 2nd. He also wrote or is writing 4 spin-offs and 9 other authors by my latest count are currently writing stories in his world with his permission. You can find most of them with the keyword quaranteam. The categories vary, but the concept is that there is another virus at the same time as Covid, only it has few symptoms for about twelve days, and then it presents something like Ebola, killing as much as 95% of the men and a quarter of the women, with multitudes of consequences to individuals and society. The pandemic parts are horrible and relatable at the same time. It all began with the line "Around day eighteen of the quarantine, Andy was starting to lose his damn mind." Mostly I've been reading these stories in recent years, along with new submissions by favorite authors. He's a professional; his other stories are good too. You might say that Corrupting Power's works are simply uncensored stories rather than proper porn.

Anal- PacoFear https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=1026336&page=submissions "Outsourcing" is a Lit Classic. Short and lighthearted.

Mind Control- BreakTheBar https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=2136475&page=submissions is my favorite author for sex scenes. He started writing incest here early on to catch a share of the large market, and he also writes 2nd person stuff for appeal at other websites, as he is breaking into professional writing. Neither of those is my thing. In "Font of Fertility" it makes sense in context, as the story is about a teenager who discovers he's the re-incarnation of a fertility mage. He has one of the highest rated quaranteam stories in "Quaranteam Northwest". He won some awards for "AMA The Boyfriend". Neither of those are 2nd person POV or incest. They are only mildly mind control. I am currently reading all three, as they are ongoing serials. He has other stories, too.

I'm in the mood to highlight some early writers tonight and feature stories I still love, rather than classifying the bulk of their work. Back then the grading was harder and there were fewer categories.

Erotic Couplings- Killer Muffin https://literotica.com/s/dice-fishing The title says fishing, but it's a story about a girl trying to get her gamer boyfriend's attention. KM helped organize and shape Literotica, then moved on to mainstream publishing pursuits. She was fun on the forums.

He had some original ideas, and some of his stories should have been catergorized as SciFy and Fantasy, but we didn't have the category at the time. Group Sex- Tex Tall Tales comes and goes from Lit, and so have some of his stories as he tried to market them. Convenience verses Need, or "CvsN" was his breakout series. Rather than lying or cheating or getting people drunk to facilitate the group sex, in this story it is from a young man's point of view, but an older woman is orchestrating things. Sci-Fy and Fantasy- Ogg Bashan wrote here for many years.
