Author editing existing stories

Dear all,

I have a few submissions that have been successfully approved and are on the site on all their glory.

I wanted to know, now they are on show, and approved, is there any way I can still edit them? (I want to add to the dedication of one piece)

I am also DESPERATE to change the category of one story. I put a vicious cheating story into "Loving Wives", intending the 'Loving'as very ironic, but that smart alec-ness on my part has backfired badly!

first of all, you can edit and resubmit by submitting them as a normal story but adding "edited" to the title for example "Title of my Story-EDITED"....then your original story will be taken down and the new story put up without losing any views, votes or comments. Should you not wish to do this, you may also put a blurb into your biography stating that so-and-so edited your story.

With the loving wives category, it sounds to me as if that story was submitted correctly. "Loving" is ironic in that category. You have one of two types of stories generally in that category. 1.) spouses who cheat on each other, whether they are caught, and how it's dealt with 2.) husbands who enjoy watching their wives with other people and how it affects their marriage.

"Loving Wives" is a very hard category to submit to. You have to be prepared to submit there and just roll with the punches. If you search through the other submissions in that category, you will probably find that the other comments are similar to yours. EVERYONE in that category has mean comments. But like it said to begin with, it's already in the right category. Sorry. It's a learning experience, the best you can do it try to have a sense of humor about it.

For future reference, when you want to change a category, simply resubmit the story clicking the category you want, then in the notes section at the bottom, tell the admins that it was previously submitted under "blank" category and you wish it to be moved to "other blank" category. it will be taken down and put up in the new category.
