Happy Birthday WQ

So, I turned 44 and no-one except my sons noticed.
My boys gave me a pair of bright blue welding gloves... believe it or not, it's the PERFECT present... as I keep burning myself on the fireplace and oven (currently have a third degree burn on my arm from the fireplace).
Anyway, even my mum forgot my birthday.
I guess after a certain age, nobody really gives a shit.
I think I'm going to ignore everyone elses b-day from here on out... this is the 5th year that almost everyone forgot.

I have an excuse I didn't know...but Happy Birthday anyway...Party time...And May only great experiences and happy times attend you....That's my wish for you don"t blame me if it doesn't happen.....I am not a soothsayer just an optimist.

WQ yes I do know what you mean, my mum forgot my Birthday & has no excuse she is only in her 80s up side was I got a much better pressy the following year & it was the only time ever.

As for me I only remember a few lucky for me BANDIT's is 10 days before my daughter so there are 2 I remember & my sister who has hers on 1 August, the day known as the horses birthday, that is it, I forget my grandkids & have been known to forget my own although these days I'm happy to forget my birthdays.

So, the man is gone again.
Stayed long enough to get 2 more 'absolutely essential' qualifications - without which, he can't set foot on the wharf, let alone go to sea.
It's all just a huge revenue-raising farce... one of the tickets he had to get was a very basic safety card. He's done the Advanced part of that course, got the ticket, but the Advanced ticket won't give him access to the wharf!? Another $80/year that HAS to be spent
So far, it costs around $3000/year just to keep the tickets current to allow him to work.
