Just for KB although others can feel free to take note .........

And remember: Don't make old People mad.

We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off.

that's why I carry a gun........:D

Just wandering through saying hell. Day 5 of school holidays... not sure they'll all make it til school goes back on the 16th.

Lurking by and thought I would say hello :D

I'm a little bit excited that this time next week I will be in Sydney!!

Hi Gil, Orlanth, et al.

Had a few things to sort, so have kept to myself for a while. I've closed off my pms, as well, to anyone not on my buddy list. That should eliminate one recurring problem. If I've forgotten anyone, I'm sorry. I'll fix it if I know.

I hope everyone is ok.

WQ, is your son responding to treatment? How is your arm? Is the bully problem smacked into lline for your youngest?

Gil, I see your protests regarding agism. I'm sure that Bandit has no complaints about your, um, life experience. :D And that's all that matters.

Hey, Orlanth? How y'goin, Sunshine? Great that you've booked everything. Looking forward to the Brissy meet. How's the garden going? You should be in perfect weather now?

Ms Moon, I hope your break was wonderful, wherever you ended up going to. Was the formal for your daughter a great night? I hope your new charge is happy and secure.

Webbo, I hope all is settled after the floods your way.

Need to get back to the disaster area I call home and sort it before the cherubs arrive, tomorrow! :nana:

Hi trisk :rose:

My no1son is finally home from hospital, and the new medications seem to be starting to work. Although he's yet to gain back the weight he's lost (he's 6'3 and weighs 59kg!), but his appetite is slowly returning. It's a wait-and-see situation. He's feeling a bit isolated, because with the immuno-suppressants he can't go out much in case he picks up another illness.

The kidlet has sorted the situation at school, and it seems to have calmed down somewhat. The bully was suspended for a week, and used that time to threaten via fb... But I made a call to his mum and she put a stop to it (helps to remind people that fb threats are now a criminal offence!)

As for my arm.... Won't know till next week. It hasn't improved much, even though I have been very careful to do everything I was instructed. Possible surgical fix in the future.
I'm also having minor surgery today on my hand to remove a pin. It's been 'catching' a tendon when I flex, so it's got to come out.
The good news is, I won't be allowed to do dishes for the next week due to this, so easter will be easier for me this year!

Apart from all that, we're good!
How about yourself?

School hols start for us tomorrow.
A good thing, as I will need help around the place after surgery today.
That - plus I have a list of things that need to be done in the garden ;)

It's easier during school hols now that the kidlet is older... he can amuse himself for the most part!
I remember dreading this when the kids were younger. Trying to find things to keep them occupied was a nightmare for me.

Hi WQ, bugger about your arm, hope the pin removal is relatively quick and painfree for you.

One of mine has reached that amusing himself age and I love it... only problem is the littlest seems to take it as a personal challenge to disrupt his life as much as possible... and that middle one just has to get in and stir. God I love kids. Bring on the first week back at school; already planned a night away, some yummy adult company and a lot of rum :D

Great to see you've booked. I need to pull my finger out!!! Payday is it!

Sorry to see that, Orlanth. I hope you're mobile again, soon. Great thing about gardens is they make great come-backs! :D Mine is starting to look less like a jungle, now.

If I can just get these people to come and get the mega-cubby, I can set out the veggie plots and fence.

Hahaha... My 3 were almost exactly the same when younger!
I don't want to burst any bubbles, but the arguements don't stop when they grow up - they just get more erudite and verbose :D

I've come home from surgery, and the anaesthetic is wearing off. But I can already feel movement is much freer without the tendon catching.
It will be a long, pain-filled night though. Didn't go as easy as the surgeon would have liked, and he got very narky about me insisting I would not stay overnight.

Great that the meds seem to be working. :) He's definately light on, though, isn't he? I hope he gets stronger each day and his appetite improves, too. It's like a punishment, isn't it, being isolated like that. Can mates come to visit, if they follow a hygiene protocol?

I hope Bully's Mum can help him sort himself out.

Is that hospital makin money outta your family, or what? I hope the surgery was successful and not traumatic. It sounds like a case of better out than in.......
Are you able to cook? You seem to like it so much, I can't imagine you not doing it for Easter! No dishes can only ever be a good thing. *nodding*

Things ok here. Still need some repairs done to the house after our big wet. Lotsa things leaked! Cherubs aren't coming until tomorrow, now. So a bit bummed, but looking forward to then. Work is mad rats! Easter is such a silly, silly time here. And the travellers can be bloody RUDE coz they're stressed and in a hurry. It's much worse than Chrissy. Maybe coz it's all pushed into a much shorter time. Our school holidays start next week.

Oh, I hope the leaks didn't do too much damage!?
Nothing worse than finding a drip coming down the wall :(
Luckily, this house is totally waterproof!
I kinda wish it was cold-proof as well... It's starting to get colder at night again.

I should have bought shares in the hospital
My hand is throbbing like mad now. But it will be worth it!

WQ you are naughty but well know the "I WANT OUT NOW" feeling with hospitals lucky for me my wonderful BANDIT:heart: keeps me well & only have clinic visits these days although it's getting close to my fistula needing ballooning again, best thing is it's done at the private hospital under medicare even though we can ring up & get in the day after dialysis, no fasting, no stopping meds & in & out unlike the public hospital system where uoi wait for a week or more, stop several meds, fast for 12 hours then wait 6 more to get done & it's not as well done either.

Have You Ever Been Guilty
Of Looking At Others Your
Own Age And
Thinking, Surely I Can't
Look That Old. Well....
You'll Love This
One.

My Name Is Alice Smith And
I Was Sitting In The
Waiting Room For My
First Appointment With A
New Dentist. I Noticed His
Dds Diploma,
Which Bore His Full Name.

Suddenly, I Remembered A
Tall, Handsome,
Dark-haired Boy With The
Same Name Had Been In My
High School Class Some
30-odd Years Ago.

Could He Be The Same Guy
That I Had A Secret Crush
On, Way Back Then?

Upon Seeing Him, However,
I Quickly Discarded Any
Such Thought.

This Balding, Gray-haired
Man With The Deeply Lined
Face Was Way Too
Old To Have Been My
Classmate. After He
Examined My Teeth, I Asked
Him If He Had Attended
Morgan Park High School .

'yes. Yes, I Did. I'm A
Mustang,' He Gleamed With
Pride.

'when Did You Graduate?' I
Asked.

He Answered , 'in 1975.
Why Do You Ask?'

'you Were In My Class!', I
Exclaimed.

He Looked At Me Closely.

Then, That Ugly,

Old,

Bald,

Wrinkled,

Fat Ass,

Gray-haired,

Decrepit

Son-of-a-bitch Asked,

'what Did You Teach ???'
