Aaaah, Mr Elf!!

Living in country NSW now. Brisso by birth. Moved south with work to Syd, then ACT. Worked all over OZ except NT. Loooved my stint in Melbourne. Lived on the Esplanade. There weren't many luxury cars then. Not like now. The working girls at the time were extremely wonderful to a woman living on her own in a new city. Still love the place. More laid back than Sydney.

Loved cruising Akland (?) St and all the continental patisseries. There was a guy with bags and bags of coffee beans on one corner. When I left a few places were being replaced with Asian restaurants and foodmarts. Didn't feel the same.

This weekend the weather looks fantastic! So, ditch the computer and out and about in it! Who knows, maybe some cricket's in order? hehe Or maybe another field sport, with outfield action?

Yep that sounds like St. KIlda at least that part of it. The cake shops have been there in Ackland St. for a long time so they aren't going anywhere. Yes the restaurants have changed somewhat, more for the tourist trade. Lots of backpackers along the Esplanade side these days. But overall I would say it hasn't changed except to remove the so called undesired element. One thing about that part of St Kilda it never sleeps. Lots of people there most of the time.

Most people like Melbourne once they visit. They come down here for various reasons. I recently heard we are now the most liveable city. Some OS committee decides on this stuff. They obviously weren't here during peak hour(s).

Now we are talking about a computer, and most things in the computer world these days is plug and play for us less tech geeking types to set up things. I remember the days of using DOS to issue commands to a PC. Boy have things changed since then. I'm sure there is whole generation growing up that doesn't know that it was like before PC's were in most homes.

A PC that just lies there when tapped is a boat anchor, or its lost its spark either way...rather useless. Kinda like cars, when they work they are brilliant, when they don't their just a hunk of metal.

Now if you were laying before me well, then we would need some appropriate stroking. I may have to get out my grease gun to grease those nipples.

Well actually Ms Moon it just so happens I do have one and it works every time and does have a hammer setting.

Yes you can I seem to of dropped my chuck key for the drill, you may need to look really closely on the floor, let me hold your hips steady while you look.

Hello Sinners and Groovers,

Just sitting here listening to the sounds of people out and about. ONe of those Friday nights I want to be anywhere else. My old nemesis, Depression has taken a hold upon me for the last while. So it's a sit in tears and be wistful evening. Trying to not go and have a drink. I don't drink much or often, so really not wanting to make a mistake. Plus meds don't go so well and I end up somewhere and put myself in danger. Ah the delighs, never mind, compared to what others suffer, it's a doodle.

I hope that Spring brings you a blessedly warm weekend. Enjoy the new season and the one you love.

Well I've been a busy little cherub over the last few days with helping out the speedway karts for their AKA Aussie Title over both days of the weekend & 10 hours dialysis yesterday. I am very happy to report that Rasher has won his fight with cancer and all reports and tests are indicating he is cancer free!!

Not much else happening in our life right now... our woglet is walking and is into EVERYTHING! so that keeps me pretty busy along with people asking me if I would make their wedding invites and also another wanting 18th birthday invites I have been working on doing that!

Is the meet still happening next May?

Orlanth is the organiser of the meet in May & as far as I know it's all go!

FANTASTIC news on Rasher now cancer free, BEST news I've heard in a very long time.

Now the real fun begins with little Rasher now walking.

Mmmmm. I think I've done my time in big cities, no matter how livable. Don't mind a visit but the country life is more my pace, these days.

Mind you, sometimes I wonder....

After spending Sunday singing songs from England, Wales, Scotland, Europe about plentiful apple crops and watching people feeding, thumping and tickling old apple trees, my current wherreabouts are suspect. hehe

Who knew that apple trees liked a bit of slap and tickle?????

The best bit, by far, was the mulled cider, or was that coiddeerrrrrr *hic*

Yeah, the weather can be quite changable in spring. You'll still get more sunshine in Oz, though. We've just started another cold snap tonight after over a week of BRILLIANT weather.

I've just lugged in some more wood, while dreaming of the warmth to come..... in about a week and a half *sigh*

Still, had brilliant weather for the Daffodil Festival and the wee Wassailling tryst. Can't complain toooooo loudly.

It arrived here about an hour ago preceded by an antarctic blast. Short but memorable!

Good flight home, but pretty shattered still, had to get back to work on Monday with 3 weeks to catch up.
Still it was worth it to be back here, as an expatriate pom I agree with most that the UK is a great place to visit but you wouldn"t want to live there.
