Things looking up.

Will be teaching drama again next term, so I'm very excited and planning the lessons. They write a play and perform it in such a short space of time. It's always great how much the little terrors achieve!

Have been having a bad case of missing my cherubs. It's all cool. It just goes in circles that way.

SPRING is wonderful. It's arrived even thought the calendar has just caught up today. We have had such beautiful days. Everything is so pretty here, green and blossoms everywhere. Gotta love life when it's so lovely all around.

lol Glad you and Bandit had a fun day!

Used to love having my 91 acres. Meant I didn't have to worry about what I wore. Can't do that in town

The theme varies according to the group. They make their own decisions on what they would like within perameters I watch.

The last group were all girls and wanted 'a romantic comedy'. It turned out very well, even though I was worried at first. lol Their focus has to be directed a little but not too much. They're young and it's all very innocent, as it should be. I love them. They crack me up!

And welcome back to Aus 2moro! Picked the right time of year to return. Don't know about melbourne but the weather has been spectacular in my corner of NSW.

Pity I can't say the same about London's weather over the last 2 weeks, but what do you expect from an English summer (not a lot of sunshine but an awful lot of rain).

yes, i'm ok.

much more painful than i expected tho.... i still can't open my mouth very far and if i miss a painkiller, i sure as heck know about it!
i rang the surgeon this morning - he tells me because of how far down the gum he had to cut, i should expect another week or so before i can open my mouth and has given me another script for pain meds.

my face has gone a lovely mix of green and yellow bruising.
i have to go out today, so i'm thinking it's going to take a hell of a lot of conceiler/foundation to mask this!
or maybe i'll just go as is - frighten the great unwashed

added my 19 yr old will be driving me... i am under the influence of some pretty heavy pain meds, so i can't drive!

After spending the afternoon out with my son, here is a list of the damage -

new rice cooker, $19 (bargain)
new microwave, $169 (down from 299 at harvey norman)
shopping groceries, $142 (for 2 weeks)
replacement car for the 19 year old, $1600 (and we got rid of the wrecked one)

Sometimes, it's better to stay home

Just sitting here listening to the sounds of people out and about. ONe of those Friday nights I want to be anywhere else. My old nemesis, Depression has taken a hold upon me for the last while. So it's a sit in tears and be wistful evening. Trying to not go and have a drink. I don't drink much or often, so really not wanting to make a mistake. Plus meds don't go so well and I end up somewhere and put myself in danger. Ah the delighs, never mind, compared to what others suffer, it's a doodle.

I hope that Spring brings you a blessedly warm weekend. Enjoy the new season and the one you love.

I am very happy to report that Rasher has won his fight with cancer and all reports and tests are indicating he is cancer free!!

Not much else happening in our life right now... our woglet is walking and is into EVERYTHING! so that keeps me pretty busy along with people asking me if I would make their wedding invites and also another wanting 18th birthday invites I have been working on doing that!

Is the meet still happening next May?

Bub is walking already

Picked up the boy's new ride today - it's a fully loaded sportswagon. Has all the extras, including a kickass stereo and mags.
Best thing is when the boy heads off to the next town to go partying with his mates, he can lay down the seats and sleep in the back if needed. Plus it has a bit more power than his last (first-ever) car.

I am planning to do not-very-much for the rest of today. Jaw is killing me again.
I will be sooooooooo glad when this is over.
Got my appt notification for elbow surgery yesterday. Going in feb next year.

Why not? You're intelligent, practical and empathetic. If not a shrink, why not councelling? People need councellors who are practical and enabling. You've shown you can help solve problems and manage situations. Why not assist others to solve &/or manage their own?

Organisations like Lifeline are always looking for people to volunteer for their phone lines, as well.

Now we are talking about a computer, and most things in the computer world these days is plug and play for us less tech geeking types to set up things. I remember the days of using DOS to issue commands to a PC. Boy have things changed since then. I'm sure there is whole generation growing up that doesn't know that it was like before PC's were in most homes.

A PC that just lies there when tapped is a boat anchor, or its lost its spark either way...rather useless. Kinda like cars, when they work they are brilliant, when they don't their just a hunk of metal.

Now if you were laying before me well, then we would need some appropriate stroking. I may have to get out my grease gun to grease those nipples.
