Evening all,

Well a rather nice weekend in Melbourne so I heard on the radio. Got my new PC on Friday afternoon then spent the rest of the weekend trying to set everything back up again. Well the modem finally worked but not after a couple of calls to good old Telstra and their outsourced tech support. I think I had as much trouble understanding the techs as I did getting the internet to work. The PC worked brilliantly out of the box. Have to get used to the speed of it though, just too quick, then again that's the reason I purchased it. Hopefully it will last me a while into the future since I went for a high end machine. I don't want to go through this again for a long time.

Haven't got everything up and running smoothly yet, but most of it is back to normal. Lit hasn't been so fast.

Hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Well slow it up there Elfie boy, nothing like taking one's time to leisurely get a feel for what is laying before you. Amazing what a bit of tender tapping can release....

:kiss:MsMoon:kiss:

evening aussies :)

just had a call from the guy out at sea... seems he needs to get yet another ticket to be able to work in oil and gas.
this makes 7 different tickets, each one costing more than $200/year.
revenue raising, much?

finally got my car clean... it had been used to transport wood... and burnt out the vacuum cleaner in the process!
took 3 goes to get all the woodchips out :(
i will NOT be allowing that to happen again!

had lunch with my daughter and her b/f today.
i quite like this guy - he's a good influence on her.
since she's been with him, she's gone back to school, got her health under control, and is not hanging with the losers in town any more (not drinking or doing drugs either).
i hope this one lasts!

i haven't been sleeping very well, so i'm back on the sleepers for the next few days.
i need to be well-rested for surgery monday...

Liking the daughters B/F is a big step for any parent & seeing he is a good influence is all bonus.

Do you line your boot with a tarp before loading firewood or just chuck it in?

Well at least you can say He has tickets on himself. The good part is with regulations here it gives people faith in Him unlike the rest of the world which seems to give those jobs to anyone.

The boys did the firewood thing - I gave them a tarp, but  they 'forgot', apparently.

Glad

Not for me as I have 2 teeth pulled & quite a bit of pain, also did dialysis after the teeth pulling & had a horrid time of it.:(

Worried the shit out of BANDIT:heart:

Hi Gil,

Hope you're feeling better. :)

Getting teeth out is the pits! Sorry to hear that the dialysis was a cow today, as well. :(

Trisky

Thanks Frisky,

Still a bit sore in the gums when the needles went in & only one move visit with a week off in between.

As for the dialysis there was no real reason why it happened like most of the times I've crashed, wasn't a lot of fluid to remove, wasn't high speed so think it's just part of the treatment, i have told my renal doc about them in the past & all he said was we reacted the right way dealing with it.

Evening aussies (from a dark chocolate brunette)

Yep, I treated myself today :)
Figured I may as well get pampered before the horror week that's coming!
I also went and bought some gorgeous gypsy skirts, ready for the warmer weather - it's coming, today was 17deg!

Sat plans - shopping (food) and all the laundry.
Sunday plans - cooking enough meals to cover the next week, as well as loads of soup for me.
Monday plans - try not to kill the surgeon!

My thoughts will be with you on monday, so far I've had teeth pulled & one cut out as well as a lot of fillings, next week a break then the following week the final dental work for me.

Any chance of seeing the new hair colour?

Got into the 20s todat but a wind with a bit of chill attached to it keep the Real temps down.

Dealing with the bottle of red here.... and I don't even have the excuse of preparing for a Monday where blood and pain might be on the agenda....:D

Hello stranger, I'm sure both the bourbon & red wine are good for all occasions so hope you both enjoy your drinks.

And here I thought you were an NSW girl. I used to go down to the esplanade when I was a kid at summer time. Now I tend to go down there when friends come to visit. Mainly take them down there for the cakes in Acland St.

Also take my female friends down to the market on Sundays when they visit. A very busy place on the weekend all day and night. The weather this weekend has been rather nice, but I've been stuck inside setting up the new computer and the internet.

Aaaah, Mr Elf!!

Living in country NSW now. Brisso by birth. Moved south with work to Syd, then ACT. Worked all over OZ except NT. Loooved my stint in Melbourne. Lived on the Esplanade. There weren't many luxury cars then. Not like now. The working girls at the time were extremely wonderful to a woman living on her own in a new city. Still love the place. More laid back than Sydney.

Loved cruising Akland (?) St and all the continental patisseries. There was a guy with bags and bags of coffee beans on one corner. When I left a few places were being replaced with Asian restaurants and foodmarts. Didn't feel the same.

This weekend the weather looks fantastic! So, ditch the computer and out and about in it! Who knows, maybe some cricket's in order? hehe  Or maybe another field sport, with outfield action?
