The 2007 edition of Survivor is already under way.
In 2006, as in the years before, records continued being broken, with more contestants, more submissions, and more competitiveness than ever before. And with an award structure that grants prizes to the top 15 contestants, even truly amateur authors who had no time to write lots and lots of stories managed to see their efforts rewarded.
All in all, it was fun for all involved, and particularly a great personal challenge for all the authors who committed themselves to this year-long task.
Once again this year, the award structure will be very appealing, with nearly $1500 in prizes to be distributed between the top fifteen Survivor participants:

Not familiar with the Survivor Contest?
The 2007 Survivor Literotica Contest is a competition open to all authors, where you get points for each new story or poem you write, submit and have accepted at Literotica between January 2nd, 2007 and January 1st, 2008.
The objective is to write as many new and original stories and poems in as many different categories listed on the main story index in the course of the year as possible. In addition to the points you earn for each submission, there is a structure of bonuses that increase as you fill more and more categories with more and more submissions. And, of course, the contest is open to all authors and to stories and poems in any language.
To read more details and to register as a contestant, visit the Official 2007 Survivor Literotica Contest Rules thread. Take also a peek at the Discussion and Announcements thread if you want a better feel for the game. If you have any questions about how the contest works, ask them there, read the Survivor F.A.Q., or simply PM one of the moderators.
The most important thing, though, is that it can be an extremely fun and rewarding experience. Survivor is above all a great opportunity for authors to challenge themselves and stretch their own limits, encouraging them into writing territory where they wouldn't normally venture.
Good luck to all!
