All About SpicyBean x

I love that you actually went out of your way to prove who you are! I joined Lit years ago and used to go under a male-sounding pseudonym here because I was wary of exposing myself as a woman on this site.
I commend you for being so internet wary. Unfortunately, I already have a bunch of my own pictures all over the internet, Reddit, OnlyPans, News sites, Twitter....And these pictures date back to around 11 years ago.

I am yet to experience anything unsafe aside from the "all bark no bite", 'hiding behind their screens types' who's threats never come to fruition anyway. <3

You were only 14 in the old pics?!

Girl, I can't begin to tell you how many DMs I've gotten that have either accused me of being some loser in his parents basement or soliciting me for sex/meet up in real life.

In any case, welcome to our crazy corner of the internet!

It's great that you have thickened your skin. But there is a whole new aspect of trolling you also need to think about now. You have published stories here, and they can also be a target of various types of trolls. Some of them could resort to bombing your stories with low scores or hateful comments. The experience can be surprisingly frustrating for new authors. And unlike the nasty comments, you can't erase the scores they give you.

I am not trying to scare you; I am just giving you a heads up, as sooner or later, something like that will likely happen. When that hits you, feel free to vent on the forum; Many people do. ;)
Oh, and don't bother trying to contact website admins in such a case. That's a complete waste of time.

Do you feel welcome already? :p

Out of the comments I have received only one of them was horrible! Out of the 1000+ messages I’ve received only a handful were REALLY strange. I’ve accumulated a lot of new followers and both my published shorts continue to go up in both views and ratings! I’m not just going to be writing taboo smut here, I’m working on finalising some erotic horror I previously had posted on Wattpad which got removed, I also have some 4k plus word completed stories under very different categories!

I really truly do have faith in humanity (more than I should) and I believe that just by being me, people won’t have interest in trolling me…. šŸ˜… okay wait, fine I actually have 0 faith but fuck em. I’m here for people to read my writing and enjoy it however they wish, if it brings the little saddos joy to vote low just because they enjoy seeing other writers scores go down then so be it. What a sad little life they lead šŸ˜‰

I do feel welcome! For sure! I’ve received many lovely supportive messages so I think I’ve started off strong! šŸ˜šŸ˜

I also want to add that I’m not writing on here to be competitive. It’s simply a hobby that I really, really enjoy.

Well, I'm what's known as a high-yellow complexion, but in the right light, I'm as dark as darker black people. And I'm black that is to say Afro-American! I'm pretty sure that anyone who's a redhead is lighter than me unless they have a hell of a tan.
I gotta ask (cuz I'm curious), how do you know I'm not as dark as you? I'm not, I'm pretty sure, more pale red head (before it turned white). But what clues did I give?

Edit: I realize we're talking about black and white, not shades of pale.

Yeah, but my question is how did you know I'm white (any shade)? What gave me away?

I remembered you saying you were a redhead in some conversational thread. I think, or maybe I made an assumption. LOL

No, but I have several red human hair wigs. I don't think they were harvested from Afro-Americans though. Like Randy Newman, I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
There aren’t statistically that many darker people with naturally red hair šŸ«“šŸ½

I don't think I would have ever mentioned my hair color. It's interesting to ponder whether black people assume unidentified people are white just like white people do.

It brings to mind what I think is a salutary change in fiction writing, where the race of a character isn't revealed until page 273 or so. And then, wo! They're not white! Huh. They seemed like just regular people. Duh.

Anyway, thanks for responding. I was worried I was getting a little to personal.

No, you'd find out if you got too personal. I suppose on this site I usually assume everyone but me is white.

Heinlein apparently got a bit of stick when people realised that his narrator in "Tunnel In The Sky" was supposed to be black. It's never stated explicitly, but Heinlein confirmed it as Word Of God later.
