Did they match the curtains, though?
Drapes and curtains? Isn't it the carpet that's supposed to match? Or are we talking armpit hair now?

Personally, having been brought up in the seventies and eighties, I feel most comfortable with a nice Paisley.

Tom Clancy dedicated up to (and sometimes more than) 10,000 words to minor characters. Despite the fact, they appeared in one or two parts of the story, they occupied massive amounts of text with their backstories, which had nothing to do with the book's main plot.
But Rice could dedicate three pages to the description of drapes like no other!!!

Tom Clancy was my first favorite author - have read all of his books dozens of times. Even got a chance to chat with him a few times back when I was in college.

This explains completely why I can't seem to get a chapter out that's less than 20k words lately.

Yeah, I like the stories he wrote, but The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger were better on the screen than on the page. I got so bogged down in the historicity of characters I wanted to scream. Might have helped if I'd read the books and then watched the movies.

Agree 10,000% about Hunt for Red October, one of the best films of all time, IMO. I actually preferred Patriot Games the book - just a bunch of little stuff they fucked up in the movie that annoyed me, like calling Cathy "Catherine" instead of Caroline. I have a soft spot in my heart for Clear and Present Danger, because it was one of the first long books I ever read. I remember lugging it around in my backpack when I was in 7th grade, feeling like a badass when I whipped it out, as my friends were all reading Judy Blume shit. The movie is great - some great lines that I quote constantly (and I guarantee, I'll work 'you are SUCH a boy scout' into my current series at some point).

Huh. It doesn't work for me anymore either. Maybe it's something Literotica does. Anyway, do you know how to use a picture as a Google search criterion? Your avatar returns a dozen or so pictures. Are they all you? (One, especially, doesn't look like you to me.)
I have thousands of pictures online dude. Not every reverse search you make will give you exact results. There will always be anomalies! However, keep lurking if it makes you happy, I don’t mind 🤘🏼

I'm not a dude. I'm just curious.

I do have a dwarf friend who looks up at me a little bit. He's four feet seven, so you know, I'm three and a half inches taller than him.

@AG31 is a dudett, same as me. Well, not the same as me; I don't think she is as anti-man as I am, or as dark as me, or has as fat an ass.
I gotta ask (cuz I'm curious), how do you know I'm not as dark as you? I'm not, I'm pretty sure, more pale red head (before it turned white). But what clues did I give?

Edit: I realize we're talking about black and white, not shades of pale.

I made the mistake of reading Red Storm Rising recently. The "Romance" plot made me want to tear out my hair - when I wasn't dry-heaving.
