Younger than what I'm allowed to say on here.

What was your favorite gift that someone gave you?

Lord of the Rings boxed set. It was 1983 or so. It’s still the one I read.

What was the issue the first time you stood up to your parents?

I think it was... my mom used to have me babysit my brothers all the time. I could never go out. So one day we got into an argument about that. I didn't have to babysit that much afterwards.

What is your biggest regret?

Letting my first love go.

If you could go back in time and relive any moment, but not be able to change anything, what would it be?

It would be the first time I gave my first love an orgasm.

Do you remember, or even know for sure, the first time you gave someone an orgasm?

My first love. She was a great teacher.

What’s the highest number of orgasms you’ve had in a 24 hour period?

I want to say four. I know it was more than three, but can’t imagine it was as high as five.

Who’s your least favorite English monarch, and why?

I have no opinions on monarchs.

What do you think of running? A great exercise or something that should only be done when pursued by monsters and mad dogs?

Staying fit is a necessity, and the means to do so vary person to person. If you like running, do running. Me? I prefer swimming.

Besides, when pursued by monsters or dogs, you don’t have to outrun them — you only have to outrun the person next to you. :D

If you could have any one thing, and price or realistic circumstances were no issue, what would it be?

A materialistic thing?

I'd like to have a Monet. :)

Do you have a favorite artist? If so, who and why?

LS Lowry. Why? Just brilliant gritty but loving art. A testament to the north.

Pick a character from a book you'd go on a road trip with.

Raoul Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Who would you like to have dinner with dead or alive?

Blade Runner (with Breaker Morant in a close second).

If you wanted to use a television show or movie as a metaphor for your life, what would it be?

Woooooooooo

I was way off the beat.

Wonder Women.

Do you have a favorite way to “Pay it forward”?

I like to prewrite letters of recommendation for people I expect will ask me. That way, when they do ask, I can tell them I think so highly of them that I already wrote it.

What single concept in your education was the toughest for you to grasp?

Cell biology; simple function, complex effect

Do you work in a field for which you have formal education?

Wildland firefighter. A smokejumper, in fact.

If you had a million dollars, who would you give it to and why?

More of a what than a who, but those 6 figures would go to the arts with the hope of bringing more beauty to people’s lives.

If you are employed, do you consider yourself well-compensated? Adequately compensated?

I'd have to say adequately compensated.

Have you ever done anything at work that you probably should have been fired for?

Good god, yes. In a past career, I kind of WAS fired for something I did. It was the right thing, though.

Which book’s “universe” would you like to live in?
