Tell us about the worst gig you ever had as a musician.![]()
My flooring guy brought his girlfriend with him to "help" when he installed my floor. Is this a usual practice?
Depends. What kind of floor?
Vinyl tiles. He messed it up the first time {girlfriend was "helping" then, too} so he's back repairing/replacing some tiles.
Civil War reenactor? Are you a yank or a rebel?
Yes and yes. Most of us do both sides as needed, but I'm generally rebel. I'm in the north so the bluebellies need someone to fight.
That's really cool. We have a historic village down here where they do reenactment weekends, and Gettysburg isn't too far - their stuff is fascinating to watch.
What's the longest you've done a reenactment for? Do you try to stay as much in character as possible, like not using current bathrooms and the like?
If it was an install I would say weird. If it was a refinish not so much. Those guys tend to be family run
It's a local company. A rather quirky place. Mostly carpet and flooring displays, but there's also a stage for musical performances.
What's involved in reenacting factory work?
What's involved in reenacting factory work?
I'm thinking beers and bandaids.
Throw in an eyepatch and missing finger or two and you're pretty well on. I won't drink at work though. I like my fingers.
Don't all reenactments involve some sort of alcohol?
No we are all sober all the time. *tries to keep straight face*
The quote "Hold my beer and watch this time" springs to mind.
Theres some civil war re actors a couple streets over. The kid was telling me they all walk around with their wool pants down airing out their boxers when they are on break or at camp....lol
Theyre geeks but nice folk.
