I'm not sure about the percentages of women vs men in taboo curiosity, but from early experiences with boyfriends I found they tended to drop hints more than come straight out and ask, where as once I accepted my sexuality I found most of my girl friends were up front and not embarrassed to display their kinky side..

I couldn't agree more. I certainly speak only for me on this one, but the trust has to be there. And we have to remember that taboo, just like kink, is a word that can have an overreaching meaning for different people. And trust within a group of women can be a very powerful thing that takes times to mature, as with any relationship. But when speaking about something can be seen as making us vulnerable, it applies even more so.

I doubt it will ever be something that people share quickly and probably not readily with strangers.
