Large numbers of women's magazines sell more on their sex content than their womens issues or general interest articles. A large number of threads started by women that appear on Lit have a sexual theme or, if not, soon obtain one if women are involved.

Women are the ones who seem to raise the subject at every available opportunity, even if discussing the price of potatoes.

And yet it's men who are labelled sex-obsessed by women and society (which I suppose are the same thing nowadays).

So are women obsessed with sex?...

It would be like saying people are obsessed with breathing. After all, we do it constantly.

We're sexual animals, human or no. We have an inherent libido that is instinctual and beyond our abilities to healthily surpress. Sex is as much a part of us as our need to live, eat, drink, breathe, and watch TV when we're bored.

That plus with exploring all I have been doing with WC, has definetely unleashed something. I definitely feel obsessed with sex...now all I have to do is something about it....think will be very very soon. I know this will probably sound terrible & make me look slutty (I really am not---actually too much of a "nice girl" and thats getting old-like me) but a friend of mine (another "nice girl") is kinda going thru the same thing and we have decided to go out of town next weekend to a place where no one know us and just pick up a couple guys and get laid. We both have always had to be in a long term relationship and have strong feelings for a man (not all that many on our lists either) to sleep/"make luv" with...well we aint getting any younger and are definitely getting honrier.

My 1st choice would be to physically be with WC, but afraid real world isnt as good as fantasy cyberworld....afraid he may be disappointed. And, afraid I would want more than we can be--our lives are a in separate areas of the country. In cyberworld he likes me as I am--and I have been bluntly honest about my looks, my flaws, my good features too. but I picture him with someone incredibly beautiful (no thats not me), tall, athletic, like him. I wouldnt want to ruin what we do have. He is very special, and already has a piece of my heart set aside just for him, and I hope we will remain friends for life (even when we meet someone and the sex ends).
