Are We Free Now?

Day 2 - Are we free now? Almost!

Human rights activists and military defense lawyers had urged him to halt the special tribunals that are formally known as military commissions and urged him to move the prosecutions into the regular U.S. courts for trial under long-established rules.

"In order to permit the newly inaugurated president and his administration time to review the military commission process, generally, and the cases currently pending before the military commissions, specifically, the secretary of defense has, by order of the president directed the chief prosecutor to seek continuances of 120 days in all pending case," prosecutor Clay Trivett said in the written request to the judges.

The request said freezing the trials until May 20 would give the new administration time to evaluate the cases and decide what forum best suits any future prosecution.

Day 3: Are we free now?

Dear Pres__ent Obama...

What in Allah's name happened to immediately? You have nothing that will hold up in your court of law. You are now OH!ficially torturing us; you gave us false hope, you said this living hell would be closed, but your staff, our so-called defense team, says we will be here for at least another year, AND WE'RE INNOCENT! We demand we be brought into the US right now! The sooner we can get into the court system, the sooner we can get our charges dismissed and the sooner we can take your government into civil court where we will own you, especially if you're picking the judges.

Holding you to your word,
ATAPBG

Not free just yet.

But at 70% off we are flying off the shelves.

I don't know about free but I already feel better that someone doesn't have to come out every time Obama opens his mouth and tell us what he "really" meant to miscommunicate.

Day 4: Are we free now?

Dear Pres__ent B. Hussein Obama,

We can't believe what is going on. Do you really think it matters to us that we are being held in Cuba, Pennsylvania, or KANSAS? This seems to us to be a symbolic gesture; you guys fought to get us fair trials, the Satan Nazi Bush caved, and now you deny us a day in court so we can get up and tell the world we are guilty and we are proud, and that our only regret was being taken alive?

Loosing faith here!

Dear Cap'n AMatrixca:

According to the NSA you are just as cryptic on your cell phone calls.

Please stop.

Still your president,

BHO

Dear BHO,

Day 5: Are we free now?

President Obama,

As you know, we are being tortured, have you read the army field manual? they are allowed to question us. They eat unclean food, it makes us sick to smell their breath.

You promised to close this hell hole. We thought we were going to be traded for Peace during the negotiations with brother Osama.

We're keeping the faith,
ATAPBG

PS - Cold makes us sick too. KANSAS would be a death sentence.

From the Desk of the President

Good news! We just set a dozen or so of your comrades free today.

Keep the faith!

Patrick Casey said:
Two firms funded with over $100 million in earmarks from the Democratic Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, John Murtha, were raided and temporarily shut down yesterday by the FBI and IRS. Surprised that you didn't hear about such big news? Well, it did manage to hit page A6 of the Wall Street Journal today...

I guess the time was finally right.

And it only took Bam one day to waive his own ethics standards.

We're going to hear more rationalizations than Carter has little pills over the next four years.

WorldTribune.com blogline...

In a surprise move today, the outspoken and controversial Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, stated that he'd be happy to take the inmates of Gitmo and provide for them "appropriate and hospitable accommodations." When questioned in a press conference what those 'appropriate' accommodations would entail, the spirited Sheriff was quoted as saying, "Oh, you'll find out. Our recidivism rate here is nearly zero. For some reason inmates, when released, are not too keen on coming back."
Asked if the detainees would receive just and humane treatment, the Sheriff smiled and said, "Certainly. They are 'humans' and will be treated as such…and that's 'just' the way it is."

In Baghdad today, the arrested Al Qaeda leader, Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, was heard screaming from his cell when he heard the news that the Gitmo detainees in Arizona would all be required to wear pink. Al-Mashhadani's legal representative, ACLU attorney Harold B. Dikwahd, stated that dressing the detainees in pink would violate the Geneva Convention. "Pink is the color of pigs, and pork is an insult to Muslims," stated the snarky lawyer. Sheriff Arpaio responded, "Well, we don't want to insult them, just lock them away. Like all our inmates here, they look pretty in pink."

The ACLU was further infuriated that no copies of the Koran would be provided to the detainees, but rather replaced by copies of The Audacity of Hope, by Barack Obama. In addition, prayer rugs would be replaced by yoga mats and the five prayer breaks each day would be allowed, but required to include a 20-minute Namaste Yoga routine.

The 30 days of Ramadan...

Five calls to prayer
Four ACLU liars
Three army cots
Two Obamas
And a free pass to the Gaza strip!

The good Sheriff is a breath of fresh air. I wouldn't give those fuckers anything except a sledge hammer and a pile of rocks so they could make little ones out of big ones all day.

Kind of makes you long for the days of prison road crews and chain gangs ala Cool Hand Luke... now THAT is reform..

Day 6: Are We Free Now?

Dear Pressident Obama,

Your words inspired us, uplifted us, and gave us hope, but we're not seeing any change. We were looking forward to proclaiming our guilt and putting Bush on trial. We thought we had a deal here...

Respectfully,
ATAPBG

Day 7: Are We Free Now

Dear Mr. President,

Think of us as part of your paternal family; move heaven and earth to aid us as you do with your auntie, be as soft on us as you are illegal immigration, this we beseech of you, our liberator, for it has been a full week and hope is not eternal, we, your constituency need to see some real change! Adopt us for Allah's sake; you talked about us enough in the past year that we really do feel the love, just act upon it...

PLEASE!

Gawd Bless You President Roeswater,
ATAPBG

PS - The Arizona thing, that was a joke, no? Pink is unclean!
