They have been so confident that the Patriot missiles would protect them from the Scuds that the authorities did not even issue gas masks.

This evening though, now, that the Scuds are getting through and the air raid sirens have been almost continuous they seem to be having a shift in confidence.

Ira has fired 4 surface to surface missiles, three were shot down, two by the US and one by Kuwait. So far none have killed or wounded anyone nor even cause any damage to anyone's homes or property.

Of the four missiles fired one was an al-Samoud and THREE, repeat THREE were SCUD's that are banned and supposed to have been disposed of by Iraq 12-years ago.

I just turned the news on again. Didn't Iraq claim to have no more of those missles?

Debate time is over. That comes later.

Many Kuwaitis seem to be leaving the city as well. Though they can't go far.

The news bulletin on Sky a few minutes ago said that Scuds are indeed getting through. And that's from a reporter 'on the ground'...

If the UN had been allowed to do their jobs, they would have founf them in about ten or fifteen years.

I heard they knocked all but one down, and use logic here pp, if you knock a huge piece of metal out of the sky your going to get a whole lot of steel fragments from the bomb casing, missile engine, and other parts come back down. So it could be just fragments falling down?

I wasn't debating. I was asking a question. I don't like to participate in political debates because there is no bending from anyone.

Ok, the news just said two made it to Northern Kuwait but didn't do anything except scare the people.
