Good evening all...

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that it is crunch time once again, work-wise.

I've tried to step away from posting on a few different occasions, and let's face it, I am not very disciplined when it comes to choosing work over play. I'm like the kids who gorge on dessert first, then choke down some vegetables and wonder why their tummies hurt later. I'm going to make a concerted effort to eat my veggies first and only have dessert when appropriate. (I need a halo over that smiley)

So we'll see how well I do this time - and how long I can resist the urge to tease and titillate (yep, I said "titillate") before I'm back here hitting the "upload" button. You know how I LOVE hitting that "upload" button.

But things are picking up work wise ... and if I want to do more travelling (which I DO ) I'd best spend more time in the salt mines than I have been lately.

Now, I don't want y'all to be lonely while (if? hee hee) I'm gone, so remember to visit the Cozy Den for Over 40. Sigh. If only I had such easy alternative options to fill the void I'll miss from interacting with all of you on the thread.

Well, I can tell you TX, that you deserve the same as that treatment, if not more so, but something tells me that you've got a good taste of some excellent treatment (if i read the posts about Mal correctly) and if I know a Texas gal, you ain't gonna let it pass you up. (sorry, I keep a grammar pass to forgive me when I have to give in). I would say that you are way ahead, some aren't lucky enough to realize what's going on and really do think it's them, but you've got a good head on your shoulders, and a heart that won't just sit and lie there, you seem to be the kind that will go for it if you see it.

I hear you on that, ShadowFyre. I tend to be pessimistic on my relationship outlook, myself. I know what I had, I know what we lost, I spent years telling trying to protect myself from being hurt. For example, when my best friend's husband would sneak her away for a romantic getaway, I'd tell myself "That's the kind of husband she has... not you." Well, say that enough and it get's shorthanded and translated into "That's not for you - that's for someone else." And it does't take long to start believing the twisted version of that message. So on one level, I know it's ridiculous to believe, but at the more powerful (for now) subconscious level, that's the message that I feel. It sucks. On the plus side since I'm aware of it and how it came about - I'm probably way ahead of most women and men out there.

I imagine it would be difficult for a woman without a military background (via her father/ family) to endure the hardships.

Glad you like the photo - if I make it to a driving range, and if I suck, you can bet I'm gonna blame it on the girls.
