At cursory view, this place seems way more sad than before, and not just because we have an bloated orange president coming into office now.

Seems like the usual suspects are still having their RWCJ, but there just doesn't seem to be passion in their mutual stroking anymore. They're just going through the motions, like a christian couple having sex through a sheet after 40 years of marriage.

Has anyone died lately? 2016 has certainly been a shitty year for people passing.

Did anyone get married or engaged?

Hopefully there are still some non-pathetic folks left on the board, but the front page seems cluttered with sad sack right wing regurgitated talking points.

been an incredibly busy year for me, but all our ducks are in a row now and the final step is tuesday's embassy appointment for my visa. fingers crossed it's all smooth sailing from there - just gotta help my offspring into their flats, work a month's notice, clear my own place and then fly out and get married. so been on here less, written hardly anything resembling poetry, and been working my socks off 5 and then 4 days per week in a new job i took on to fill the wait and which was in the role of relief manager working 2-3 days per week. the manager had a spinal issue and has been off 5 months and we've had hardly any staff.
