My new guy's go to drink is usually Crown Royal. To celebrate him winning a bet that took six months to win, I was thinking of getting him something a little more "fancy." I am not a whiskey drinker. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Much appreciated.

How does he drink his whiskey? Does he drink it mostly straight, with just ice, or with mixers like soda water mixed in?
Well it seems your new guy has great taste in drinks and company.
You know, not to be TOO literal... but there is a special reserve Crown Royal that is yummy and you know, could be reserved for special occasions.![]()
The delicate sweet nectar of a pinkish flower.![]()
He drinks it straight...says, with a disdainful voice, if you add ice it's a "mixed drink."
::knock knock...pokes head in::
can i join in? all alone here with my Riesling...
Of course.
Hmmmm... Doesn't Riesling sound like a baby peanut butter cup?

You have peanut butter cups and you haven't shared with me?
That's it, back to the shed with you!
mmmm...::runs to the cabinet for a wine and chocolate pairing...wonders what to do with the peanut butter::

Make a pate? Wasn't there a discussion of peanut butter and wine awhile back, featuring MWY as the steward? Maybe fluffernutters?
Wow. Wenchie is in a toppy mood this evening.
The question is: what to pair with peanut butter cups?
If I don't get some fucking BBQ dipping sauce for my peanut butter cups, pronto, then I am NEVER coming back to this shed again...![]()
Last night had some riesling from a local winery...Tawse. Very good. Their chardonnay was a terrible pairing for dinner though so it got put in the fridge and a bottle of Big House White came out instead.
Ah, Big House White. Now that's a good chilled sipper right there. Sorry to hear your chard didn't want to play nicely with dinner. Hope it finds a more suitable friend soon.
Well Big House White was your recommendation.
I'm sure the chard will find a friend. Ah I just looked the info up on the winery's website and it's aged in 100% French Oak barriques. That was the problem. Didn't say it was oaked so I assumed it wasn't. Salmon or roasted pork tenderloin would be much friendlier...both which are in my freezer.
Cupcake pinot noir.
Cupcake sav blanc. Windows open, gorgeous night. I have not been hauled behind said shed by wenchie yet, that I know of. Life is good.![]()
Tepid Sunny D, neat.
Are you saying life behind the shed with wenchie isn't good?
The way nature intended it.
I never shed such a thing, wenchie. You have bobble heads.
You are up late...
