I will try again tomorrow night or over the weekend, recipe posting-wise. Unless Yanks can do it. I will be out of town until late Friday or maybe Saturday.
Really, no recipe I mentioned called for cream cheese. Marshmallow creme (aka Fluff, for Yanks), though...the only possible exception to the body ban on HFCS.....mmmm, yes....
And Yanks, although I don't do Alfredo often, I am feeling something is wrong about cream cheese in Alfredo sauce. I think....

LB - I just checked out a Mario Batali cookbook from the library recently and his alfredo recipe did NOT include cream cheese (looks sternly at yankee).
I again inadvertently had too much white wine. It's so deliciously crisp and easy to drink. Must not do that again.

I cannot even begin to imagine cream cheese in Alfredo. Ever!
But I am on glass 3.
Trying to see if wine cures a cold. Probably not. But I have to fly again tomorrow and I'm sort of getting tired of the whole exploding ear thing as the plane lands.
I'll live. Just pray (in your own religion, I do not discriminate with regard to prayer directed at me) that I have ears intact when I get back home.

The cream cheese helps thicken the sauce and gives it a tang that I happen to like. Last I heard, food was about flavor, among other things.

I am alarmed, gravely so, that food discussions are finding their way into other threads.
I fear that this is about to become the AA thread unless we take charge.
I've already forgotten where I read about mole sauce...and then there was another food digression in a really weird place.
We need to be vigilant about keeping food discourse here. Because, after all, we are not winos. Right?
At least I'm not.
