Anyone for a nightcap?

Another Bavarian. I think I'm in love with this beer! And more instant Indian. Booh. I was just too tired to hit the grocery store. I think I'll wait until this weekend.

Tomorrow I go to Mister Man's and of course he'll have no fresh vegetables. Argh. I will really have to hit the store tomorrow I think.

You all are very, very bad!

I'm sooo hungry right now. Possibly the two pieces of wheat toast for breakfast were not sufficient. Wah.

Louis Latour chard to accompany my perfectly rare tuna steak, all from the comfort of my hotel in the Chicago suburbs. Actually a very nice meal...

Hey.. what's wrong with Philly.. we have Yuengling Lager here, at least

I was channeling my inner W. C. Fields (from WikiQuote):

"Here lies W. C. Fields. I would rather be living in Philadelphia."

This was an epitaph Fields proposed for himself in a 1925 article in Vanity Fair. It refers to his long standing jokes about Philadelphia (his actual birthplace), and the grave being one place he might actually not prefer to be. This is often repeated as "On the whole, I'd rather be in Philadelphia.", or "All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia." which he might have stated at other times. It has also sometimes been distorted into a final dig at Philadelphia: "Better here than in Philadelphia." His actual tomb at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California simply reads "W. C. Fields 1880 - 1946".

Cheers! Have you tried Cava? It's Spanish sparkling wine - really good and inexpensive!

I like Philly! ;)

Mmmm....coffee...I love TJ's coffee, but I'm drinking Crackbucks French Roast this morning. I have so much laundry to do today. It's just. not. funny.

Same here: Charbucks and laundry. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

I'm pretty good with getting the housework done, but there is little I hate more than laundry. Even when I've dropped it off to be done, I can't bring myself to put it away! I can't figure out why I have an issue with this one chore.

Little Black Dress merlot (I kid you not, you who frequent fashion threads around here).

Heh heh. I had a couple of glasses of a Barbera. But honestly I'm more tired than anything, and feeling the effect of it. In fact, I may fall asleep at any---

Wake up, itw, there's fashion to be discussed.

<------------------------- over there, of course. :p

Tonight, I'm having a fried bologna sandwich with yellow mustard. On mutigrain bread because I don't have any Wonderbread. But I'm not sure how Sonoma Cutrer Chard will go with that. Maybe I'll have milk with the sandwich and wine for dessert...

Oh, the other night, I had a Bud Lite Lime...I thought it was good. My son called me a redneck. sheesh...

Multi-grain bread works for me - I use it all the time for my Fluffernutters. The chard would have been an okay pairing with the bologna as its buttery quality would have balanced the saltiness of the meat.

Wine for dessert is always a good choice. :D

Did you know? If you walk away from the stove and allow the bologna to burn for a moment....the "all kosher beef bologna" tastes just like bacon?

God that was a fine sandwich...

(and I saved the wine for after...just had to....)

Fried bologna turned up on our family dinner table frequently in my younger days, though less so once I got into high school and college.

Wine goes well after almost anything. :D

Andrew Rich Tabula Rasa - goddamn is that good, had it with lunch.

I cannot recommend this enough as a pre-hump get in the mood wine. Spicy.

I like spicy!

The rest of you weird bologna and chard people are in TIME OUT.
