I woke up last night at 11:30pm with a hellacious stomach pain, like I was kicked in the gut. I tried all the home cures I could, but by 7a.m., it was just as bad. I narrowed it down to either a organ malfunction, or heart attack, so I called an advice nurse. After the triage on the phone, she told me to get my butt to the ER, now! So, I checked in, had my blood drawn, and laid around till 11a.m. The doc comes in, says it might be an ulser, or gastro indigestion! I go to the RX store, get some Zantac, take one, and it goes away and hasn't returned!
One hell of an expensive belly ache!

*Anyone else have an situation where the simplest explanation escaped you until you forked out big bucks?

Like an electrical car problem that was a fuse?

Come on, I know I'm not the only one that had a day like today! :D

Acid reflux has symptoms like a heart attack when it's severe. Very costly! Can you say, "PEPCID!"

Migraine Stroke is very similar to a STROKE and I had all kinds of tests - damn, MRIs are expensive!

I feel for ya, LC! :rose: But, I am glad it's nothing serious! :)

I had a good one week before last. I took the truck in to get inspected, fearing it might need brakes and exhaust work. I got out of there for $25 - the fee and 2 running lights.

Whew!

Here's another fubar of mine!

Having the unbalance alarm go off in the washer, shift the load, push start...nothing! Trying again, and again, finally calling out a repair person. 5 minutes later, and $45 lighter, I found out I hadn't closed the lid while reseting, keeping the safety switch engaged! Duh! :D

Another snafu on my part...

Not so much in monetary value, but keeps the theme of discomfort for simple fixes. I drove a car through the worst winter we had several years back, with no heat. In the springtime, my brother was helping me fix up the car when he looked under the dashboard and asked, "how long has this fuse been burnt out?" I asked which one, and he said, "the one that goes to the heater." A quick switch and the heater worked great! Another example of the Hakim's razor theory I guess. :D
