Anybody on the board 'right now' in or around Atlanta?

Jesus, God, we agree on a few things.

We have light rail - just not enough of it going to the right places. When it was designed they thought the jobs would be downtown, but instead they are everywhere BUT. And what kind of rail transit system doesn't take you to the ball park? It may be too late to fix. Had they done some intelligent planning to begin with, office buildings and businesses would have clustered around mass transit. Now it's so spread out they could never build enough to meet the demand. Can't expect much different from the good old gummint.

The biggest problem with City politics is race. The field of candidates is very limited. Black candidates win and white candidates lose, the exact opposite of 40 years ago. The result then and now is corruption, because once elected, they are in until term limitations kick them out. People don't bother voting for anyone else. Can you say Strom Thurmond?

I'm interested in what you mean by a "Progressive" Black candidate.........

Hey all......

Just got back from this here road trip.

Left Atlanta for the coast - went through Augusta and hit Wilmington and this nice little resort - name I can't remember. Spent two nights there. Did the Ferry thing up to Nags Head after that - two night there. Back home to DC last night.

A nice road trip in tribute to our fallen friend.

Back to searching for a job.
