Any experience with a clitoral hood piercing? Please answer!!!

OK, posted on the piercings and tattoo board but haven't gotten an answer for over 3 days so am starting my own thread hoping to get advice/insite.

So, the Goddess' little cosmic joke on me was giving me a raging libido with no sense of guilt or shame and a very, very small clit that likes to retract into its hood right as the crucial moment approaches. Have no problems getting a G-spot orgasm when I have a partner who learns to approach it correctly, but having a clitoral orgasm is very, very difficult when someone else is trying to pleasure me (I require a lot of pressure and I just think that a lot of people are afraid of being too rough, no matter what I tell them or how I attempt to instruct). Obviously, this is a frustrating situation for my partners, not to mention myself.

Am thinking that a clitoral hood piercing would help but have also heard that this procedure's ability to increase responsiveness is not always what it would seem. Also don't know if a vertical or horizontal piercing is more likely to produce the desired results.

Would love to hear from other women who have one - did it better your sexual responsiveness? ( Also, does it keep you aroused all day - can't afford this one, even if would be enjoyable...)

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Have no problems getting a G-spot orgasm and have been known to "squirt" when I have a partner who I can teach to approach it correctly, but having a clitoral orgasm is very, very difficult when someone else is trying to pleasure me (I require a lot of pressure and I just think that a lot of people are afraid of being too rough, no matter what told). Shivaun,

Go to the BME site and check out the info there. There are a lot of testimonials from women that have had their's pierced. I have mine done after reading up there. I also took a gf to have her's done after I referred her to that site. She had her's done 2 weeks ago. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the link to the exact page! This was what I was looking for. Did your GF get a vertical or horizontal piercing?

She got a vertical like mine. If you are built for it, its the way to go but you need to check with the piercer to know. It depends on whether your hood is loose enough to accomodate the piercing. It has nothing to do with the size of your clit. Someone just posted something here in the last couple of weeks about getting a vertical done, but I can't recall where it was. Try doing a search.

You might also want to check out some of the other alternative piecings like a Triangle and a Christina.

I had a horizontal one done, and put a ring in it with a big bead. My boyfriend stimulates it PERFECTLY during missionary sex. It was a tiny bit painful to have done, healed perfectly, and has never given me any trouble. I personally have heard much worse stories about triangles and christinas, so i got my inner labias pierced as well, and had no trouble with those either. the bf gets distracted by shiny objects during oral, but other than that, they're good piercings to have :D

thank you!

thank everyone, actually for the feedback - while still a little hesitant about the triangles and cristinas, am definitely convinced that the hood piercing is the way to go - planning to set up an appointment tomorrow - will report back on how it went once it's done!

We have a regular in one of the forums (BDSM or GBLT) that is a professional piercer. Do a search on piercing threads. She may be a good recource for you to check with.

I think this is the link to the thread.

A previous partner had a clit piercing, she was certainly more sensitive after she had it done. she had a horizontal.

We also used testosterone cream on her clit. it increased the size of her clit and added to the sensitivity.

A friend of mine used to have one (not sure if it was horizontal or vertical). She had to remove it when she had some surgery done and didnt re-do it. But she said she was extremely sensitive, and it was climbing stairs that would really drive her to an orgasm just from the motions. (she lives on the 5th floor of an apt complex and stopped using the elevators, lol). She said she'd climax at least twice on the way up to her apt.

I got a vertical clit hood piercing a year ago, almost to the day actually. I would not be without it now. I would recommend the BME website for doing all your research. My story is on there as 'Should 41 year old's do this?!'

I would say that a vertical offers more stimulation, that the piercing is sharp but quick, that the 'just pierced' feeling lasts unlike nipple peircings which settle down until time to play with them, and that once healed (mine only took a week or so) then you need to experiment with the jewellery. I have had a ring, a curved barbell, but best of all is a custom made straight bar with slave ring on the end which will accomodate attachments!

Go for it and enjoy! :nana:

where do you get it, who makes it, it couldn't possibly be available over the counter in the u.s., could it? enquiring minds want to know!!!!

Thanks to everyone who posted!

I did it, I did it, I got a vertical hood piercing and want to thank all of you here for your advice, etc. I have posted a pic -it's red and puffy now, (labia puffed up and closed up right after, which is when the picture was taken) but it's going to be really, really pretty when it heals. It was an amazing, amazing experience!!!

I went to Body Manipulations here in San Francisco (they are now the oldest piercing / body manipulation parlor in the U.S.). If you're considering any kind of body modification and are close to San Francisco, I would highly, highly recommend them. They were clean and friendly - I even got to talking about current reading material with the girl at the counter. One aside, and an example of why I love my city so much - as I was waiting, a Latino family from the neighborhood came in, all three kids in tow, to get their daughter's first earlobe piercing. They didn't bat an eye at the very goth white boy with tons of piercings sitting next to me and he didn't bat an eye at the 49-yo platinum-haired neophyte sitting next to him (we actually had a pleasant exchange about music).

I had initially hoped to get pierced by either a woman or trans (FTM) man, figuring that having someone do it who had the same general parts might better guarantee a good job, but their woman piercer wasn't available. Got my piercing from Paul, who owns the shop. He was courteous, professional, put me completely at ease, and based on the consultation we had beforehand, was clearly extraordinarily competent.

It hurt A LOT as the needle went in - more than I (or actually Paul) expected - apparently in addition to a small clit, the Goddess jokingly granted me a thicker-than-normal clitoral hood - another piece of the puzzle of the for me oh so mysterious "O". The pain was freeing. Paul and I had talked about why I was getting the piercing - connected to a break-up, a way of reclaiming my body - and he said that's often why people choose more non-traditional piercings. For me, the physical pain unexpectedly provided a release from psychological pain I'd been carrying around and helped me to resolve a recent, but deep emotional loss. I have been having difficulty sleeping recently, but slept soundly and for a longer period last night than I have in a long time.

I had a close friend from my high school days who recently died from cancer (not HIV-related). He was heavily physically abused by his father - a state judge - and sexually abused by his older brother. His response was to start tricking with men from El Paso's army base when he was only 15. In his late 20's, he fell in love with an older man from LA - it was then that he started reclaiming his body through piercing - ending up with a Prince Albert and multiple piercings down the shaft of his penis (I figure that as a hard bottom, it never interfered with sex for him). I'd always known intellectually that he was "reclaiming" himself, but now, I have a visceral/deeply emotional understanding of this...

Anyway, thank you again for all of the advise and help...

Testosterone Creams are only available by prescription. There are some over the counter products that claim to be testosterone, but are only the Testosterone precursor (DHEA). The creams are usually prescribed to post-menopausal women as a form of hormone replacement therapy for increase sex drive as well as for some other problems associated with menopause such as vaginal dryness.

neonflux,

Congratulations on getting your piercing. It sounds like it has already had some very positive psychological and spiritual benefits. We'll be staying tuned to see if the physical benefits are everything you had hoped they would be.

Promise an update

Thank you for the congrats and for the info on testosterone cream (hmmmm, am wondering if I could get any of my clinician friends to prescribe). Will let you know in a month or so if the piercing has had the desired physical effect - may go back and get an extra internal ball on the rod if needed.
