Umm... dude -what are you doing in your av? ;)

oh, and this part is extra special:

"In 1996, Craig also voted in favor of the Defense of Marriage Act, which denies federal recognition to same-sex marriages and prevents states from being forced to recognize the marriages of gay and lesbian couples legally performed in other states."

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

Fly the too friendly skies.

Surely there must be a better way for a rich powerful Senator to find some action than the airport bathroom? geesh...

Tell that to George Michael....

You said he admitted it, I just read a story where he denied it. I just wanted your source.

He said it was just a misunderstanding. He plead guilty.

He said to a man in the men's room, "Is there any paper on your side?"

and the police officer on toilet patrol thought he said, "Have you ever had you cock sucked by a United States Senator."

I was thinking about that too... but damn - with that much money couldn't you just buy yourself a 'friend'? Or is it the seediness and randomness (I don't think that's really a word...) that makes it all the more exciting? That I can understand...

last time I checked, admitting your guilt in a court of law suffices to allow me to post "Another republican admits to dick touching" on a porn board.

Toilet patrol?

I know that they have a lot of shitheads as cops these days, but isn't this a bit much...

Kind of gives a whole new connotation to the term "vice dick"!

"Patrol" does give the impression of an officer in motion, but this policeman was sitting on a toilet when he arrested a United States Senator.

How many people can say that?

Apparently too many!

I bet that paragraph is pretty much what everyone is looking for in the article.

"In 1982, Craig denied rumors that he was under investigation as part of a federal probe into allegations that lawmakers on Capitol Hill had sexual relationships with congressional pages, saying the "false allegations" made him "mad as hell.""

they just keep racking these up.

From www.cnn.com

The senator, 62, then tapped his right foot, "a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct," Karsnia wrote, and Craig ran his left hand several times underneath the partition dividing the stalls.

"The presence of others did not seem to deter Craig as he moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which was within my stall area," the officer's report said.

Later, when he was interviewed by police, the senator said "he has a wide stance when going to the bathroom" and that was why his foot may have touched the officer's, the report said.

Ah. The old "wide stance" defense.

Oh for fuck's sake.

Are we going to hear the same lame-ass excuses we heard when Foley got busted?

Don't you apologists every get tired of back peddaling and spinning?

I'd be more apt to believe the "I'm innocent" thing if he hadn't pleaded guilty.

I am, however, going to point out that this is really less of a political issue than an issue of people simply being human.

Politicizing it really doesn't score anyone any points. There are bad apples and imperfect people on both sides of the aisle.
