Another day and another plagiarism story out of academia​

Once it emerged that Harvard’s former president, Claudine Gay, was a serial plagiarizer, conservatives started looking for other examples of plagiarizing in the halls of America’s colleges and universities. It turns out that this kind of search is akin to shooting fish in a barrel: You cannot fire without hitting something. The latest case is the DEI official at UCLA’s School of Medicine, an institution that’s completely abandoned itself to the worst excesses of DEI, CRT, and other Democrat madness. And as is so often the case, the culprit is a black woman.

There’s a common thread binding many of these corrupt academics. Most (although not all, as Professor Panigrahy shows) are black women. Indeed, leftists are attacking Christopher Rufo, who has been reviewing dissertations, for being racist because of the many black women he’s exposed as plagiarizers. However, as Rufo explains, the database he and his colleagues are searching includes white and Asian scholars. It’s just the black women who keep popping up as cheaters.

Yesterday, I wrote a post about how Democrats have deliberately inculcated sociopathic values into black Americans. I focused generally on criminal activity (I’ve got two more examples—here and here), but nodded to the problem we see with high-profile, college-educated blacks in the media, politics, and academia.

It’s worth pointing out that, at the upper echelons of Democrat-voting blacks, the problem of sociopathy seems to be most deeply rooted in the women. The list of black women who don’t believe the rules should apply to them is seemingly endless of late: Natalie J. Perry, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Joy Reid, Stacey Abrams, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Tiffany Henyard, LaToya Cantrell, and all the academic plagiarists. These women make the rules up as they go along, whether for themselves (i.e., Claudine Gay) or for others (i.e., Joy Reid, who hasn’t violated laws, regulations, or moral standards but insists that they shouldn’t apply to people who look like her.)

This underbelly of black culture exists and America has to talk about it. It needs to be discussed honestly and fairly, but it needs to be discussed. There is a big problem with aspects of black culture in America. Whether it's in education, crime, social values, public conduct, or the entertainment industry. The emerging
scandal among prominent black celebrities is going to be catastrophic for the entertainment industry as the daily exposure of their criminal debauchery and human trafficking threatens to exceed a hundred years of white debauchery in the industry. This behavior is not historically normal among black Americans. It's been woven into their culture by radical white racist Democrats and Marxists.

I know you don't think it's worth discussing but this is far more than a coincidence and I think it is due to the encouragement of the left who are quite willing to throw out all standards to advance diversity in every field of endeavor.

On the subject of crime, the law and jail time is thrown out and black youth are being told it is perfectly okay to "shop without money" because reparations are due for historical depredations against black people in America's past. The notion has driven businesses out of the heart of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, and many others across America. White and black leftists drive this home every chance they get. They know what they are doing and they're using unsophisticated minorities to do it.

This makes sense given proportions of the two groups in the population. More White guys means more White guys got lynched.

OK, review data points:

1. Lynching was invented outside the American South and used as a general punishment
2. More White guys than Black guys in the American South

It was not exclusively used for racial terror. It was a common way of dealing with cattle thieves. More White guys in the population equals more White guys lynched.

It's not "conservatives" conducting a pogrom against academia.....and it's not "liberals" either.

The current pogrom of plagiarism witch hunts against academics (and also published journalists) is the result of one man's butthurt: hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman.

Bill Ackman is an American wildcard: he is a left-leaning billionaire with an intense hatred of President Joe Biden (a hatred that might even transcend Rightguide's hatred for the man), and an unwavering belief that anyone who publicly criticizes Israel should be unemployed.

Ackman has been publicly humiliated by President Joe Biden twice in the past three years, once at a Democratic fundraiser attended by many billionaires (humiliated in front of his peers) and once on Fox Business, where supposedly off-the-record comments by President Joe Biden about Ackman made him a public laughingstock in the business community.

So Ackman hates Biden with a passion, and but he also hates Trump with a passion too (he regards Trump as an embarrassment to "real billionaires"). So, he wastes considerable amounts of cash bankrolling the idiot candidacy of that Kennedy cretin, judging him the lesser of three evils.

He's also dedicated his life to suppressing any and all criticism of Israel, which has been especially difficult due to the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing being conducted by the Israeli military.

He is aghast at academics having the temerity to criticize Israel for their conduct, as he firmly believes Israel cannot do anything wrong by definition.

What he has done to destroy the careers of academics has been to obtain state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence bots that examine every written paper written by academics hostile to Israel and go line-by-line through all published works looking for unsourced or incorrectly sourced research citations and making public accusations of plagiarism against academics with tenure, seeking to deprive them of both tenure and employment.

His biggest "get" so far was Harvard president Claudine Gay. When his research bots came up with enough evidence to get her sacked, enterprising journalists took a look at the PhD thesis of Ackman's current trophy wife, former MIT professor Neri Oxman, and voila! (or "walla!" in Chobham-speak) found Professor Oxman had cribbed entire portions of her PhD thesis from.....of all places....Wikipedia! SCANDAL!!

Billionaire Ackman was not amused.

Ackman then declared jihad (or "Jew-had" if you like) against any and all journalists who had reported the story of his wife's plagiarism and/or criticized Israel military policy.

That's when things got REAL interesting.....Ackman worked out some sort of behind-the-scenes deal with fellow billionaire Elon Musk that allowed his AI Bots to comb Twitter via something called an "API crawl" and search for any and all instances of "plagiarism" by critical journalists that were then auto-reported to Twitter as purported "intellectual property theft". Unfortunately, this dragnet also caught a huge number of major Twitter "influencers" who were not too savvy about proper sourcing.

Over one weekend in February, Ackman's drone dragnet submitted and got approximately four dozen major Twitter influencer accounts suspended. Many of these accounts were also highly critical of Elon Musk, so common folks put two and two together and assumed ELON MUSK was conducting a purge of critics, when in fact it was the result of a Bill Ackman hissy fit. These suspended accounts were reinstated four days later with generic gobbledygook verbiage from Twitter as a not-quite-apology. In essence, Musk took the fall for Ackman's overreach.

It's just that these academics predated turnitin and thus were not caught when they submitted their work. Lay off the sauce, bro.
