There does seem to be a rather bad troll infestation around here. Do you think cym's information on getting rid of head lice would apply? For some reason I associate trolls with head lice. There are a lot of similarities.

I don't think it's so much what the trollie thinks, so much as how damned annoying it is.
Imagine that everything you said was met with sarcasm, and somebody trying to ruin what people thought of you. You can say "oh, he's nothing" but part of it bugs you. Best to stop out the bug.

The little schmuck is turning into our very own OBL. In fact, yayati was very clever, quickwitted, which is why people here were so grudgingly amused, and why we still discuss him. The Angel troll was a member who has apparently caused her a lot of grief by tampering/meddling in her personal affairs/business/life. It's one of us, posing as an illiterate so there is no trace of that regular's detectible style. It's someone who knows Angel well, and who is an utter asshole. One of them is doing this, not the attention sponge that you all think it is. Why, just because someone types like an idiot, or ifiot as they put it, does it mean it is that foolish person?
This troll has come between her, and her man's personal business, via personal means and it has amounted to her being extreamly hurt.
Someone she trusted is doing this and she needs to see and feel the support that we have to give her.
Those of you who take this as a ploy to get troops together for the fight of the century... sorry, but get real. No one is doing anything but show their love and support for a wonderful woman and friend.
I love Angel, and I want her to know that... publically, here... and privatly, through our correspondance.

It's not about "troops" -
It's just self preservation. Trust is important here. The people I trust most are those who put their names on posts that can cause them a lot of trouble, and that can include people who annoy me immensely. They at least stand by their thoughts. If Cym and Angel want to fight, they can do it publicly, or privately, and neither needs a troll.
I am actually suspicious of the people who never post negatively, who worry about what others think of them to the extent that they don't express themselves fully. They are the ones most likely to retreat to trollhood to let off steam - or to try to damage someone they pretend to like.
This isn't a glorious endeavor on behalf of humanity, but I know that if I find out who has been doing this lately, I simply wouldn't recognize them again. It's not a threat. I just wouldn't see any point in wasting my time communicating with people who have so little mental backbone as to snipe covertly in a world in which none of us are material anyway. Too many loops make me dizzy.

Ummm... I have usually found it best not to feed the trolls; they thrive on any attention they get, good or bad, that is why they say such obnoxious things. Ignore them and they get hungry and go looking for food elsewhere.
