When I submitted my stories, as they stand, now, the tag lines were changed. Why? Just curious.

Did they change my stories, as well?

-Wyn

If you've ever submitted a story, you may know what I'm talking about. For instance, when you submit a story, it asks you for a line that will, in a way, describe in a sentence what the essence of the story is about. That's the tagline. And, the ones I see on all of my stories, save -one- are different than the ones I'd written for them.

As a matter of fact,I have submitted quite a few things and have never had anything changed.

If the great gods of Lit could make them better than what I choose,I wish they would change mine. ;)

I wouldn't say so, no. They're not worse or better. They're just not mine. I may not have minded having them changed, if only I'd been asked. Perhaps the taglines they used for my writing is a bit too .. forward or crass .. than I had originally intended. That's my opinion, anyway.

Well, you should expect some editing. My intro line was changed on a story, and I thought "OK, yeah, makes more sense now"
In particular regard to those lines, I figure the powers that be have a better idea what will attract the reader's attention than I do

Well, that's alright by me. Instead of me writing a tag line next time, I'll just let them decide what it should be; if there is a next time. I would've liked to have been warned that what I wrote could be changed, but I suppose what will be will be. -shrug-

Not really. It's not that big of a deal, anymore. Water off of oiled silk. :)
