Americans who think health-care bill didn't go far ENOUGH outnumber opponents 2-1

I don't need excuses. I'm not the idiot suggesting you can gauge what the "general public" wants by the comment area on a blog.

Selective editing of overall posts doesn't prove your point when the posts in their entirety are still there for reference.

The suggestion to read the comments followed 'while you're there checking the poll details'

Maybe for the next poll, they can ask your neighbors in the projects. This way 9 out of 10 will say that obama care is awesome. Now, that 1 that didn’t vote, well he was passed out due to a drug over dose.

I’m just saying…

So says a new AP poll.

Post this simply because so many Liticons seem to have a case of persistent reality inversion on this point, despite having been corrected repeatedly.

A whole lot of repubs and independents believe that the health care system needs a whole lot of help and not just a little fiddling.

Yes, like tort reform and the ability to buy insurance across state lines for starters.

I agree, the health care bill did not go far enough. I think health care should be completely free and cover everything, (including elective procedures), without cost, so people like me, (who won't work), can live better than you.

You should get a second job so you can pay more taxes, so I can get more free benefits. Now write or call your congressman and tell him/her to amend this health care bill and make it cover more and be free.

I would like to get one of those "Scooter Chairs" as it looks like it would be a lot of fun to ride around my driveway, but now, I have to pay a deductable, and I want it for free. So let's get this health care law changed so I can have a toy to play with.

of course you want it for free. hell, why don't we toss in a house, a car from GM, and free meth for you to smoke

now, take your free obama juice and enjoy

I agree. I live in a really nice house, but a second car would be great.

Don't care for drugs though, I want my mind to be clear while I enjoy la Dolce Vida.

and that is the problem with most obama supporters....he or she wants a free education, free insurance, free gm car, and a free house. oh yes, and free food. forget about beer, as they crave the obama juice

Problem? I don't see it as a problem.

engaging QUEER ORAFARCE in discussion

is akin to bashing your head on a stone wall

WHATS THE POINT:rolleyes:

And here's a post-midterms poll:

WASHINGTON – People back Republican tax cut plans but not the GOP campaign to repeal President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, according to a poll suggesting that the Republicans' big Election Day win was not a mandate for the party's legislative wish list.

<snip>

When it comes to the health care law Obama signed in March, just 39 percent back the GOP effort to repeal it or scale it back. Fifty-eight percent would rather make even more changes in the health care system or leave the measure alone.

you miss the freaking point. Everyone wants affordable healthcare. That is a given. what we don't agree on is how "we" should pay for it. Dems want the rich to pay for it (i.e. welfare)

some want to reform the medical system and remove a bunch of the costs that do not need to be there. Obama is against medical reform….he needs votes and will push for more welfare

Most such costs are creatures of the health-insurance companies' rent-seeking behavior. (And not, as you might have been thinking, of medical-malpractice lawsuits.)
