All Newbies Post Here

Woo hoo we're a great big party!
Yepp children's books were great...I was always reading when I was a kid...I still read some every once in a while.

I'd call you silly, but don't know you that well
your replies were just swell
you played fair
and yes, we care
so don't worry about sharing your pain
by making you feel better, we all gain
both the joy of helping, and a playful pal
'cause I suspect you might be a sexy gal ;)
I hope by playing at Lit , and reading the stories too
not only will you find that you are feeling less blue
but you'll get excited as well
and you're life will less resemble hell

Thank you kind Sir
For your words so sweet
I must say being here
Has been quite a treat.

I kept a soft smile
All through my day
When others asked why
Not a word would I say

I just kept in mind
All the words I was told
To me they were more precious
Then silver or gold.

Hello from another newbie

Good mornin all y'all.
I'm from the deep south,
'case it don't show a'tall,
and I've got quite a mouth.

I've spoken with a few,
Mostly hot young men
with their hair all askew
wantin' only to sin.

I've met WildRose,
as she likes what I like.
Now I really don't suppose
that I'll have to take a hike?

What else can I say,
'cept, I'm not a poet!
I'll just spend the day
makin' sure you know it!

- I just wanted to say hi and was getting caught up in the fun here, but as you can see I'm lacking in the poetry department!!

110 Pages

 Far to much for a busy boy to read:(

I am a London based Male complementary therapist (Big hands;) ) and only discovered lit yesterday:D

Ode to lit..

What joy to find a forum
with freedom of expression
I so love to wrap my tongue around
an erotic explanation
so softly slide my eyes around
another's fingertip creation
typing with one hands a challenge
quickens exhalation
This rhyme is going nowhere fast
like my nicker-less oration

welcome
rhyming is divine
but prose is also fine

Welcome.

Hi, GH and cc and welcome. Glad you found us - don't worry about the 110 pages before - just jump right in that's what this thread is for. (I can't help but rhyme now, I guess :)

P.S. BD: That is such a shameless plug! :D

Can rhymes be caught
Like the pox or flu?
Oh dear, if they can
Then what will we do?

For all of us here
In just these two days
Have written enough
To go a long ways.

We've passed them around
From one to another
First going one way
Then going the other.

Should we stop now?
Should it be a crime?
To hell with control
Let us all rhyme.

well, i don't have a sister
and i can't find my twister
how about we drink tequila
and then we could all feel ya!!
what a way to start the day,
with bodies all over to lay!
It's too early to think,
but I know I need a drink!

Gimme a hat, I'm ready to Parrr- Ty!!!!

(dang I can't help it,
it's like an addiction,
this rhyming won't stop
it's becoming tradition!)

perhaps you can recruit a sis for the day
any semi-good lookin' gal that likes to play
I'll bring the Twister, you bring the lime
we'll all have just a wonderful time

hehe

To the newbies - beware!
We gotchia in a snare.
A poet we shall make
out of any that we take.

We will take ya to the party
Make ya party, party hearty!
Drink taquila, playing twister
drench your sister if we missed her.

Then, when you are good and tipsy
we start chanting like a gypsy
round and round while rhymes we lisp
till your head is full and crisp

and you can not say two lines
outside a rhyme's confines.
Try you might to lapse from verse
you'll discover it's like a curse

and here you are under lock and key
bound to rhyme by our decree.

Newbie from Milwaukee here...

I just discovered lit from a man who had been reading my diary and suggested I have some fun posting here.

So I'm following the instructions in the origional post in this thread 110 pages ago and saying hello, I'm new and I can't think of a single poetic thing to say at the moment.

Lots of talented people here.

Cabaret

hello cabaret
a nice name. I must say
tell us your age and location
do you need any orientation?

Info on Me

Thank you for the warm welcome.
Since I have no clue as to what to do and where and when, and orientation would be most kind of you.

As for my name, thank you. I'm told that I look an awful lot like Liza Minelli, hence "Cabaret"

Cabaret

Hi Cabaret...don't feel bad about not being poetic...my only attempt at a rhyme on here included a statement about plaster. Hope to see you around :)

Oops

I forgot, I'm 33 years old. Gee, can ya tell I'm lost here?

And I'd seriously like to know how you get plaster to rhyme. lol.

But since y'all are baring it all poetically, let me share something with you that I just wrote yesterday. I'm thinking of submitting it here, what do you think??

Expectations

I never expected those fantasies to come true.
But you know what? They did.

I never expected to find someone who matched me so perfectly sexually.
But you know what? I did.

And I certainly never expected to wind up in a swing club, making love to ,y soulmate in public.
But you know what? I do. All the time.

I never expected for the real thing to be more satisfying than my wildest fantasies.
But you know what? It is.

And I never expected to abandon my old fantasies and instead embrace new fantasies, all with Kid in the center.
But you know what? I do.

I never expected to walk in the door and find Kid sleeping on my couch.
But you know what? I did.

And I never expected my heart to do that little flip flop at the sight of his peaceful face, curled up in my most intimate place.
But you know what? It did.

And I never expected to lay content in his arms, without sex, all night long and feel as if I was made for him.
But you know what? I was.

And I never expected to be hit full blown by the knowledge that I was falling head over heels in love with this guy.
But you know what? I am.

And I never expected him to open his sexy eyes, smile that soft smile that lights up his whole face, and make me feel like the most beautiful woman on earth.
But you know what? He does.

I never expected to be so blissfully happy with a man, so much in love, and so hopeful of the future.
But you know what? I am.

so that's it. corny, huh? I think I'm much better at free flow writing. I love writing in my diary, and when someone told me I could post here, I decided to give it a try. This place is pretty cool

Cabaret

Here I sit,
In a bit of a fit,
all in a panic,
wanting to post, feeling a bit manic.

Not good at the rhyme,
but what a great time.
Friends and fun, everywhere I turn,
Finding exactly for what I did yearn.

And now that I start,
finding a rhyme for every part,
can someone please help,
as I sit here and let out a yelp.

Please make the rhymes stop,
as my mind spins like a top,
I can't think straight,
so will sit and wait.

Ta ta for now,
catch ya tomorrow, ciao!

Any rhyming done here is purely unintentional. *wink*

As someone waaaaay back in this thread said, I've not felt ignored or slighted in any way. I'm just hitting all the newbie boards and introducing myself. A friend in an RPG put me onto this board months ago and I just got around to (read as: worked up the brass to...) register and put in an appearance. Giving serious thought to posting some of my writing, but...I'll have to wait and see. I can spill my guts to total strangers, but SHARE MY WRITING?!?! *grin*

Being a bard
Can be awfully hard

Not all have the time
To think of a rhyme

But we do our best
To pass this test

And as you can tell
I think it's just swell

No it's not easy to share
When you've laid your soul bare

The words that I wrote
Are too sad to quote

So I hide them away
From the light of day

I put on my site
Just those I felt right

But maybe some day
I'll find the nerve to say

"Look. This is my life
Filled with heartache and strife"

But enough with the sad
Please don't feel bad

So if you would share
Please know that we'll care
Just lay your soul bare.
