Aglossia? Or is it something I simply fail to understand?

A word in my native language can be translated into speechlessness and into the medical term aglossia. That is the feeling I often get, when I look at many supposed personal ads on this forum.

But even more strange than ads which seem to contain no message at all, I find the fact that such ads often receive lots of responses. Like the one posted by RoxyChick, asking “Who is in California?”. Sure enough, more than two thousand Litsters by now felt compelled to tell this woman, who’s ad reeks of aglossia, where in CA they are. Notice that Roxy isn’t even interested in people’s place of residence; she simply wants to know where people ARE.

So I keep asking myself, why in the world, so many people seem to love talking about NOTHING really. There even exist highly popular threads here or on the Playground with titles like “chaos conversation”.

Could it be that talking about something substantial has become so difficult these days, for most, or so frustrating, that more and more people rather talk about nothing? It must be so, apparently.

One suspicion I have is related to the “like” button which Literotica introduced this year. I notice that one woman I was trying to reach yesterday has acquired three times as many Likes already than her total number of posts. And I am sure this is possible only by frequenting chaos conversations. Where most participants do not speak but merely click buttons.

This sounds to me like this particular large office in the 1970s, where people decided to number all the jokes they were telling each other. So it was possible to receive lots of recognition in the form of approving laughter, simply by calling out number twenty-three.

Well anyway, I wrote all this “padding” kind of text into my ad, so y’all would consider me a learned gentleman. Before I ask the brightest woman here, and the most curious one also, to send me a PM for getting to know each other. So you and I can begin a genuinely substantial conversation. One which – I hope – will enlighten and enhance your life and mine to some extent.
