Listen up people, this is a fact. It's been building for the past six to eight months. if you don't want this to be just another GB board then you need to use the ignore button on the ones doing the disrupting. You know who they are. I have at least six of them on permanent ignore and now it's seven. They post just enough good to make you wonder and then the shit hits the fan on purpose.

Another thing. I suspect that several of them are one person. someone who sees the forums as nothing but a head game and is set on shutting the AH down. He said as much when he first appeared on the boards. You figure it out.

The behavior is escalating.

I've never had this many people on ignore.

Yes, I'm quite capable of being one hateful bitch, but I don't ever remember being that way just out of the blue, for no reason at all.

I think in this instance, the newbie set the tone himself. In any social situation (and this qualifies, even on the interwebs), if you're dismissive of advice, and proclaim yourself one who knows all (despite being little more than a puppy), you set yourself up to be brushed off as an ass.

He wasn't dismissive of TK till he saw her as being dismissive of him with her "well either you do or you don't" post and the follow up which had the flavor of "now take it or leave it and buzz off" in the sudden heated atmosphere. Then I'm afraid you jumped on him with both feet with spikes out, and that was the end of all civilized discourse. Personally, I didn't see him insulting anyone. I saw him very shabbily treated.

Newbies deserve more patience than that if you ask me, and the benefit of the doubt. Not every gaffe is an attack. Not every stumble is a shove. The knives come out much too fast here and the place is getting the feel of a prison courtyard.

Yeah.... I had a hell of a time finishing my first Lit story.... It was.... whoa.... an extremely erotic experience..... Even more erotic were the comments I received back from it...... I wish you all the luck with that.

I truly wish writing this stuff still did that for me.... but the writing gets to be a reward in itself.... unfortunately, it just doesn't get me hard anymore.....

There are plenty of folks here who believe they own this board by virtue of their longevity or connections or whatever. WP got the same treatment many of us got when we first arrived. You can kiss CLOUDYS ass, or you can be like me and smack her snout with a newspaper. Either way she doesnt like you, but the second way is a lot more fun. And she's not the boss, though she thinks she is.

I think he was rude to TK, but I agree that it was difficult for him to grasp the board politics with JBJ's typical nonsense.
