Undecided.

I gave it a try tonight.
Minor discomfort, especially around the bikini line. (I'm not afraid of a little pain ;) ) It stinks, but I can deal with that too. My main problem was incomplete hair removal. What did I do wrong? I left it on the whole 9 minutes.

If I can discover and fix the problem, I'll join Cheyenne in extolling the virtues of Magic! :D

Hmmmm... sorry, I don't have the problem. I think it depends on the kind of hair you have. Coarse hair seems tougher, but then black men would have coarse beards, wouldn't they?

Maybe others here would be able to help?

You know how they say to keep it wet? I wonder if that's the problem. Maybe it dried out. Or maybe I didn't put it on thick enough? Who knows. I hope someone knows! :D

Please send a picture and a short description of the problem and I will personally get the R&D department right on it.

Thanks

I'll get right on that. On second thought, I'll just doodle you a pic! :D

BTW....I'm not sure if I should be offended by that title you got there! ROFL! ;)

Did you use the lotion or powder?

I usually take a warm bath and lotion afterward to get rid of the odor.

I used the lotion. I need to find something to get rid of the smell in the bathroom, too! LOL

Thanks for the tip! :)

I had the same problem. I wonder if it is because my hair isn't thick enough? (shrugs) Oh well...I will just stick to the razor.

If your hair is a bit coarser, just wait 2-3 days and do a re-application. Be careful- you may not be able to leave it on quite as long as the first time because your skin may still be sensitive from the first application. The second time should get you completely bare. I usually massage the cream a little to keep it moist and make sure the hairs are totally coated.

As long as you keep doing it regularly it should get you smooth every time. Just remember to figure out exactly what your time limit is and do not exceed it.

I need a little help with the massaging of the cream. Could you come over and show me how that is done?

Bah. Humbug.

I never got complete hair removal with Magic, and even the patches that were bare would get stubbly starting the next day. Trimming keeps me softer, takes less time, and doesn't involve decayed skunk smell.

Don't tell PC but I don't use magic anymore either. A little trimming.. and shaving around the edges works just fine for me.

I'm just looking to be massaged. :D

That's why the best part of using Magic is having your partner be the one to do the honor for you of applying and removing the product. If you're really lucky, you get a foot massage while you're waiting for the lotion to do its Magic. ;)

i know what your talking about, but i honeslty have never heard of this product?? I've heard of Nair and what not, but not magic?

There is a mild version for sensitive skin. The two versions are completely different and give completely different results. I actually had less minor irritation with the regular lotion than with the mild version.

two tubes

yes we are in fact a two tube family - I use the regular because the mild irritates me, whereas Mrs G uses the mild for the same reason; the formulae are quite different and i would recommend anyone try BOTH before you give up.

Secondly, Dr Golden advises: I use an aloe vera based but absolutely non-alcohol after shave balm on my sac - leaves it soft and cool and smooth; Mrs G is again perverse and just has a good rinse under the shower!

Each to his and her own - but try the variations and options.

If you follow all the last 2 years threads on the subject here on Lit, you will conclude that definitely for MOST people Magic works better than shaving, Nair, tweezers, nspalm or whatever.

And if you want to be smooth, you gotta get it right!

Oh, and my personal services for massaging it in, monitoring wet-dry ratios, scraping it off, applying the after balm, etc, available on request!
