Generally, I dislike generalizations.
But I've been wondering, why is that most people who are considered "special" by others just don't see it. To the point they deny it vehemently! And when it is acknowledged, it's with a great feeling of reluctance and the sense of humility that contributes to the reasons you find them so special to begin with.
What I tend to find frustrating about it isn't the fact that they're oblivious to the adoration, or resistant to the compliments. It's that they usually claim to respect your opinion. If this is true, then just accept it!
