The costs of a private abortion in the UK are much lower than in a US state that still allows them:

The costs of an abortion vary depending on how many weeks the pregnancy is are and what type of abortion you choose. If you are only a few weeks pregnant you may find that it is cheaper than if you were further along into your pregnancy.

There are many clinics that can offer you an abortion, all of which must be licensed, and the costs typically range from £500 for the abortion pill that you can take up to nine weeks to about £800 for abortions up to 18 weeks. For abortions after 18 weeks you can expect to pay up to £2000.

Paying for a Private Abortion

You will be expected to pay for your abortion in full prior to the procedure being carried out. Payment methods are flexible as you can pay by credit or debit card, cash or cheque. Many clinics recognise that the costs can be a lot to pay all at once so some clinics offer a payment plan where you can pay pre-set amounts during each stage of your treatment.

Appointment Times & Costs

Before you can have abortion you will have to have a consultation. Often this consultation can be on a separate day to the actual procedure. Private abortion clinics are often able to organise consultation and the procedure on the same day and to help you make your appointments at a time that fits in with your life to cause minimum disruption. They may also offer be able to offer you a weekend appointment. Once you have paid for your abortion all aftercare services, check ups and counselling services are free.

You could find that the UK cost is so much lower that even including the flights and a holiday in the UK before and after you will still save.

Of course, if you are a UK resident, an abortion is free under the NHS...

UK private abortion clinics have been providing for people from other countries, notably Ireland, for decades.

Many years ago, an Irishwoman from a rural part of Ireland came to the UK for an abortion because her fiancée, an asshole, rejected her saying the pregnancy wasn't caused by him - it was. She stayed with her sister who was working in my unit.

She didn't want to go back home and be named and shamed in her local church so she applied for a job with my company. She got it and never returned to Ireland except for holidays.

This topic struck a cord with many.
As it should be
Never saw ogg and philthy so active in posting.

who would have guessed, when the Cold War ended 30 years ago, that America will devolve into massive inequality and autocracy....

Ogg’s opening an Air D&C !
lol
ogg with his costs comparisons was kind of......

but for me it;s not the restrictions on abortions that is shocking.
After all, the debate re are foetuses miniature humans or things is till an ethical grey area.

It's how the older men behind all this, are planning to turn desperate pregnant women who try an abortion, into fellons.
That's taken from the Handmaid's Tale book.

The Catholic Church used to have homes for unwed mothers funded by selling the babies; I expect we’ll see those pop up again.

California is already promoting itself as an abortion tourism Mecca. Planned Parenthood is expanding factory capacity, major CA-based corporations are subsidizing travel expenses, and the Governor is leading the marketing campaign. They’ll have tough competition from states in closer proximity to the targeted customer base but will have the advantage of luring abortion tourists with beaches, wineries, great weather and other popular CA attractions.

The cost of an abortion depends on the gestational age and the chosen method. In the early stages of pregnancy, the cost may be lower than in the later stages. Just recently reading about abortion, used https://edubirdie.com/examples/abortion/ for that. However, when deciding to have an abortion, it is important to consider not only the cost, but also your emotional and physical needs. As well as legal aspects in each specific country. Consulting medical professionals and consulting local regulations are important steps in making this decision.
Of course, if you are a UK resident, an abortion is free under the NHS...
Indeed, many tourists choose the UK for a private abortion because of the more affordable prices compared to the US.

I just noticed this thread's a year old:threadnecromancy2.jpg

But if they can bring back a year old thread, maybe they can figure out a way to bring back ol' Oggbert C. Bashan.
