Abortion clarified

It's simple.

Rape is illegal. There's a law which prohibits it. Commit rape and go to prison (and preferably/hopefully get your balls cut off with a crusty knife).

On the other hand; abortion is STILL LEGAL. In all 50 States. Trying to tie abortion/unwanted pregnancies to RAPE is FUCKING GODDAMNED STUPID.

Yet here you and the mental midget are, doing just that.

What you and the mental midget are really trying to do is infer that a lack of access to abortion is akin to rape because the mother doesn't have a choice. Which is an out and out lie and no one should have to tell you that. And then you decided that anyone who doesn't agree with your lie must be confused by your load of deranged hogwash rather than understanding what YOU don't.

Which is that abortion and rape aren't the same thing because, legally speaking, they're polar opposites. One is illegal and the other is LEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES. and, most especially, pregnancy because of rape or incest or health of the mother is an EXCEPTION in ALL 50 states which allows the pregnancy to be lawfully terminated.

Have a great day sucking on that chagrin.
And yet people still insist babies are being murdered.

The law and the words within the law are ignored when it's advantageous to the narrative....agreed.

Don't feel so smug or superior, you lefties do this with other words when trying to shift society in your direction. And you fall for the same fallacies that those two idjits did.

Propaganda has power because it's built on finding those who aren't very smart and making them believe that the lie is actually true by playing on their fears/interests/morality/whatever is trying to be persuaded.

I don't fall for fallacies on abortion. Women should have unfettered access to abortion. Decisions to have one should be left to the woman with consultation of their Doctor. The only compromise for me would be similar to Roe.

All doctors are not fully making decisions on the letter of the newly established laws (due to ambiguity in the law) resulting in delay or denial y of medical care and complications that arise from that delay or denial. That may have been exaggerated in some cases, but I'm not concerned with that.

Yep.

I continue to lobby for a codification of Roe and will do so until it is implemented. (Which certainly isn't guaranteed)

This is a belief, not the law or the way society wants it. Look at the stats on it and you'll see that once again you've fallen for (or are promoting) propaganda.

But that's the Left's talking point - that some states have completely banned abortion. Which is an out and out lie yet it's still be made everywhere.

After Dobbs was decided (again wrongly because ideology ruled instead of the law) codifying Roe will take a Constitutional Amendment and the Left doesn't have the numbers for it. They won't EVER have the numbers for it. Why? Because society doesn't believe in unfettered abortion. The numbers don't lie, your propaganda does.

It's actually what I support. I know what the law says. Nothing about it is formed by propaganda. I don't need to agree with the law, I just need to abide by it.

But that's the Left's talking point - that some states have completely banned abortion. Which is an out and out lie yet it's still be made everywhere.
I honestly don't care what is said about some states' laws. I prefer a national codification of Roe. Fortunately, Ohio has existing laws in place for women in the state.

There are stories that are factual, where doctors have foregone treatment because of their uncertainty of the law. That's not propaganda.

The restrictions set by roe would not take an amendment. Abortion until fetal viability. A federal law would be sufficient. Any challenge might be overruled in the courts, but I believe language could be constructed to overcome those challenges.

I support the compromise and am not seeking to push it further than that even though I believe it should be.

Dobbs already defeats this talking point. It's a States Rights issue and under that Enumerated Constitutional Right, a Federal statute will be forced to yield to the higher restriction against just such a law.

Possibly true. I'll continue to lobby for such action on a national level. Healthcare should not vary by state for citizens and certainly access should be the same for everyone.

This is not based on propaganda....this is my belief.

I don’t suppose we really needed more evidence that we have a hefty mental health pandemic on our hands in the West — that case has already been adjudicated for anyone paying attention — but, boy, has this election really ripped any remanence of a veneer of sanity off.

After the election of Donald Trump, many white women are feeling betrayed by the 53% of their peers who voted for him. Their answer? A blue bracelet.

What started as a way for white women to subtly signal that they supported Vice President Kamala Harris for president has ballooned to a veritable social media movement…
Trump has been openly racist and sexist during his entire time on the political stage, including during this campaign. Despite this, 53 percent of white women—according to exit polls—voted for him. (Brief caveat that exit polls are not firm polling demographic data, which we will have in the coming weeks.)…

In the wake of this reality, white women who voted for Harris online began to post… that they wished there was a way for them to know which of their fellow white women were on their side, and which voted for Trump. Others expressed a desire to signal to women of color that they were not Trump supporters…

What a bunch of crazed lunatics. Who needs them?

This isn't reality. Nor does it even come close to reality. Which makes it propaganda that you're spreading on the basis of "faith."

The true reality is that in some states you can't get health care coverage for some medical procedures. Just like in some states you can't get "cash back" awards for credit card purchases.

Why? Because those are States Rights issues and each state has the power and authority under the US Constitution to do it. Just like with abortion. Your preferences don't matter to that at all and you'd be much better off living and letting live.

Even running for elected office in your state won't help you, even if you could form a coalition backing your beliefs to change existing law, because, statistically, society isn't on board with your beliefs on the issue.

To put it more simply; you're betting on the wrong horse.

What part about me wanting change do you not understand?

That is not propaganda by any definition.

I don't like the existing setup and am lobbying to change it.

It matters as much as my voice matters.

I don't care that you don't support my position. You're allowed to do so.

To put it more simply; you're betting on the wrong horse.
To put it more simply, in your opinion, you disagree with me.

Beating your head against the wall isn't considered to be productive by anyone.

But, good luck with it.

You spent how many threads telling me I am wrong and spreading propaganda and ....

All I originally said was that I'm not lying about abortion to appeal to emotion, (i.e. murdering babies) which started you down this long winded whiny bullshit about my position.

I'm not at all interested in whether you agree with my position. I wasn't the first few times we went through this same bullshit either. Maybe next time, you'll remember not to rehash it.

Ina surprise to no one Harpy is wrong, again. Getting an abortion for a pregnancy that rises from sexual assault is not legal in all 50 states. Saying that abortion is legal in all 50 states is like saying it’s legal to drive over 100mph because cops do it.

“Rape and incest exceptions to state abortion bans or gestational limits are often restricted to abortion early in pregnancy. Among the 21 states with abortion bans or early gestational limits, 11 make exceptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest and 10 do not.”
