Marilyn vos Savant put out a challenge in Parade magazine.
Her first was for you to write a 100 word paragraph without repeating any words.
The challenge now is to write a 100 word paragraph, or story, without repeating any words, AND using only one-syllable words.
The winner would be posted in the magazine, and the top ten will be on the Parade web site.
And, I would love to see the stories that you write that may not win, here in Lit. Email them to marilyn@parade.com, or just post them here.
I have about a 25 word start. I figured that if my stories are written for a 4th grade reading level (According to Microsoft, but what do they know?) and I rarely use words of more than 2 silly bulls anyway, then why not give it a try?
Good luck
