And both have been rubbished as fake news based on a short visit to London several years ago by a columnist who saw what they wanted to see.
People didn't meet each other's eyes? That's normal for London.
People were of varied races, religions and dress? That's normal for London.
The columnist was scared? That's normal. That's what they came looking for. They'd be even more scared in some US cities.
