ok i've been wondering this for awhile after watching one too many talk shows and talking to one too many sex addicts. is it incest if you have different parents and you are just related now that your parents are married to each other now not your other parents? weird the things some people ponder, just thought i'd get an opinion. oh, one more thing. isn't everyone really commiting incest if we all come from adam and eve anyway??? i mean that is what we are told as children, so isn't it?

The religious answer to the Adam and Eve puzzle usually involves accepting that the Patriarchs (and Matriarchs) were genetically pure, and that following generations were not at risk until the time of Moses and the first mention in the Bible of laws against incest.

I don't consider sex between step siblings to really be incest. I also don't consider it incest between stepparent and step child, although there are other issues there (adultery, betrayal, possibly rape/molestation, etc) I am pretty sure at some point either someone did have to commit incest for the human race to continue, but the mysteries of what early humanity was like may never really be solved.
