*takes a deep breath* A while ago, there was a poster on here who said she had been raped. Because I knew her from high school, and considered her my friend, I asked people not to make judgements. I also maintained that she had truthfully been raped.

I guess it's time to put my foot in my mouth. It was a lie. Unfortunately, I fell for it. She enlisted friends of hers, people she worked with, and their connections to concoct this story. Why? Because she wanted attention.

So, that's why I'm apologizing. I should have looked into it, and not simply believed her. As it was, a wonderful man got his heart broken, and trampled on because she wanted to feel important.

I'm sorry, and I was wrong.

As Outsider said, you were duped as well. You weren't part of the story...the lie. You were an innocen bystander like the rest of us here. Had your "friend" ever suffered the pain of rape, I highly doubt she'd make up stories like this just for attention. Rape is no joing matter. Thank you, though, for being bold enough to come forward with the truth. It takes a big person to be willing to do that.
