A Dedication to You

You, you light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
And fill my nights with song

It can't be wrong
When it feels so ri-ight
Cause you-ou-ou.
You light up my life.

Was there ever a dorkier song on this planet? I think not.

The movie sucked too.

HEY! I had that 45 and would play it over and over and over again in my room as a kid. Debbie was queen back in them days.

Aw... and here I thought Mouse was going to be so impressed with your musical taste. :D

Caught myself whistling that song today while working.
Realized depression must be lurkiing around the corner and I needed a significant attitude adjustment.

Couldn't remember the tune to the "Chicken Dance" - so had to finish the day with self-enforced silence.

The Farmer And The Cowman

Sorry Lavvy butthe DORKIEST song that I know is this one:

The farmer and the cowman should be friends,
Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends.
One man likes to push a plough, the other likes to chase a cow,
But that's no reason why they cain't be friends.
Territory folks should stick together,
Territory folks should all be pals.
Cowboys dance with farmer's daughters,
Farmers dance with the ranchers' gals.
I'd like to say a word for the farmer,
He come out west and made a lot of changes
He come out west and built a lot of fences,
And built 'em right acrost our cattle ranges.
The farmer and the cowman should be friends,
Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends.
The cowman ropes a cow with ease, the farmer steals her butter and cheese,
But that's no reason why they cain't be friends
Territory folks should stick together,
Territory folks should all be pals.
Cowboys dance with farmer's daughters,
Farmers dance with the ranchers' gals.
I'd like to teach you all a little sayin'
And learn the words by heart the way you should
I don't say I'm no better than anybody else,
But I'll be damned if I ain't jist as good!
I don't say I'm no better than anybody else,
But I'll be damned if I ain't jist as good!
Territory folks should stick together,
Territory folks should all be pals.
Cowboys dance with farmer's daughters,
Farmers dance with the ranchers' gals!
