Upon going to that link to do some, um, research - I noticed that they have a section for corsets for men. Unfortunately there was nothing in that section so I researched a little further on Google.

Yes. But the character who wore it, her name is Rose, needed not to be hampered by a long skirt. Besides being a maid, she is the main protector of a young lady who is kidnapped quite frequently. So Rose needs to be able to fight and not have a long skirt get in her way. Thus the shortness of her uniform skirt.

Alright, I'm going to have to put in my 2 cents here... Men in corsets just do not appeal to me. A corset needs something to push up as well as cinch in. In BDSM play they have their purpose, I guess, but as a fashion statement. Meh!
