Just came across the first LP I ever bought...Elton John, Sweet, umm Morris Albert, Rod Stewart plus Many Many more!

What was the first album (or CD for you younguns) you ever bought?

No laughing allowed! maybe a little...

Donna Summer...I think it was "On the Radio"

Some of my first few were Bread, Barbra Streisand, Prince, Seals & Croft's soundtrack to "One on One", Billy Joel, Bee Gees, and Cheech and Chong. :D

First LP I bought with my own money was the Star Wars Soundtrack. . . yeah that solidifies my geek status! (and it was a LP vinyl record, I'm not THAT young)

Seriously??

The Partridge Family
I, umm, had that one too...my 2nd album was Sweet' s 'Desolation Boulovard'...you know Fox on the Run, Ballroom Blitz

Dawg, Star Wars was cool...i remember that

The first tape I bought was a mixed hits one with Eddie Grant, Taco, etc. I think it was from 1983. I still have it kicking around.

(showing my age here, I think...)

New Kids On The Block (whatever their first album was called)

I used to heart Joey McIntyre.

I can't remember the first album or tape I bought, but the first CD I ever bought was the single of Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy". In college, I enjoyed turning it up on my stereo, hitting repeat, and then leaving the house. My friends upstairs swore revenge for that. :)

I think the first album I bought myself was either Cheap Trick - Live at Budokan, or Ted Nugent - Ted Nugent.

First ones my parents bought me were the red and blue Beatles greatest hits LPs

Welllll It Was The Mini Pops!

But Two Days Later My Father Took Me Back To Sam The Record Man, And I Purchased A Pat Benatar Album And A Sheena Easton One Too!:D

Still My Most Cherished Records, Cept Fer Ricki.

First...

...believe my first vinyl album was Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band's Nine Tonight [double LPs].

But I gotta think this one a little more. Mighta been Tom Jones and, more likely, it was Barry Manilow "LIVE". Of the latter I'm not supposed to admit it (but I still love it).

Trick and Nugent

Live at Budokan - Damn, that album Sizzles. And to think both Cheap Trick and Nugent are still going strong... you had immediate good taste.
