You cannot prove that the rich use public transportation so you demand I prove a negative, that they don't use it without realizing that my proof is your complete inability to meet my original challenge, that you demonstrate who and where are these rich people using public transportation. Or maybe perhaps, you're defining rich down to the granularity of "middle-class" because it's the only way that your contention is true?

There is not a single thing about living in a city that interests me in the least. I like the quiet of rural life, the forest, the animals, and for the most part having our own little piece of paradise. I know for some driving 25 to 45 minutes to town, depending which town we are going to, is more than they want and that's okay by me. I don't want to live so close to people I hear their toilets flush and them yelling at their kids.

In LA last year about 20 people died on trains and buses. Not killed, just died while they were on transit. About 300 people were killed by cars. About half were pedestrians run down by careless drivers.
