Right with you, my man. My tuchus is not my best asset. I take medication for it: noassatol.I did find myself flexing my arms in front of the mirror this morning after yesterday’s upper body workout.
I wasn’t brave enough to do a picture of that. I’m definitely not brave enough for a picture of the![]()
I love burpees.1) I don't understand the hate for burpees. I mean they are hard for sure, but I do feel like they get picked on disproportionately to similar shitty exercises.
2) I do minute on/minute off stuff even in my distance training. I have a very love hate relationship with it.![]()
Great mindset to have. I wish so many others had this same mentality. We don’t stop moving cos we get old, we get old cos we stop moving![]()
Good for you for doing it though.I ran 3.5 miles with my teenage athlete daughter the other day. Big mistake. Hahaha her pace destroyed me and now I hurt everywhere from my hips down. At least it was fun…in the moment.![]()
Our modern society has hypnotised us to a life of comfort. We chase cheap dopamine that requires zero effort. Chasing dopamine through adversity and discomfort is the key, for me anyway.Great mindset to have. I wish so many others had this same mentality.
My morale is pretty good, but it's also a bit put off by the constant feels like 40+. It's too damn humid and I swear it starts earlier each year (almost like climate change is a real thing).I hope that your summer is going well so far. How’s your morale?
I don't have anything earth shattering that people haven't read or heard before. I try to force myself to do the things that I know will help even though I don't want to do them. Some form of movement, breath work, listen to music, maybe doodle for ten minutes if movement isn't an option, try not to judge the feeling that thing is giving me too much, all the stuff you're taught and nothing super exciting or new. What do you do to manage stress or when you’re stuck on repeat and you can’t get your mind off of something that’s bothering you?
WelcomeI never really post here, only seems to be when sitting outside the gym thinking going home would be better yet I know I would feel bad for the rest of the day. So let me stop procrastinating and go, btw it´s also chilly outside so this is superhuman effort.
Hi @birdyWhat's everyone been up to lately? I'm finally feeling more settled in my new surroundings and getting back into being active for myself.
I’m really noticing how much longer it takes me to work out the kinks after a long walk, or how there are spots that didn’t used to be sore that are now sore for the first time. That’s humbling!Last weekend I did a 6 mile hike to a waterfall. It was on incline on the way there and downhill the way back. It was so beautiful! After that though I realized how tight my body is lol.
I’ve heard good and bad things about hot yoga. I tend to like it and I’m glad you did too. I was more flexible than I thought I’d be when I was in the hot yoga class.Yesterday I took a hot yoga class and it felt so good. I've been under so much stress these last few months and it felt amazing to sweat, and create space through the tension I've been carrying.
My body is craving more so that's a good sign! I've notice I'm adjusting to the altitude change now so that's relieving.
Wow that’s dedication!I can't wait to get my workout stuff out of storage when we move into our house next month. I never thought I'd say I miss my foam rollers.![]()
Thanks so much for checking in!Happy sweating!
I've noticed its helping to release restrictions that have developed around my tailbone, from when it broke in February. My hips can move again.. It's glorious!I’ve heard good and bad things about hot yoga. I tend to like it and I’m glad you did too. I was more flexible than I thought I’d be when I was in the hot yoga class.
What a great way to create space and release some tension. So glad you have that outlet.
I'm sure my opinion will change the moment I have it in hand.Wow that’s dedication!![]()
