Good morning All! Itโ€™s Smoothie Day!

Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe? I used to drink them fairly regularly. I had spinach, almond milk, greek yogurt, and banana. It was very tasty! It didnโ€™t look appetizing but it tasted mostly of banana. Sometimes Iโ€™d use vanilla yogurt or vanilla almond milk if I wanted something sweeter. Iโ€™m sure that I could have put in some protein powder or other supplement to boost it but Iโ€™m not that knowledgeable about those. Anybody care to chime in about them? Iโ€™d love to learn some more.

Here is a fun graphic I found online that might give you some new ideas to add to your next smoothie.

Please feel free to share any smoothie recipes that you have!

Have a great day!

I want to be a smoothie person, it's a great way to get nutrients into your body post-any activity, and I like them... but I hate the entire process of making them and cleaning the blender/straws/cup. I'd much rather do to Booster Juice and get one, but that's too damn expensive, so I don't really have them all that much.

Me when asked to go for a 20K run:

Me at the mere thought of cleaning a smoothie straw:

I am onboard with @QuietCanadian and @Lmizzler .. the idea of a smoothie, I totally get that! Yummy, creamy, satisfying.. smooth and easy to swallow.

But making them?! Buying the ingredients.. Cleaning afterwards?
Suddenly I find myself dipping my veggies in hummus while brewing a cuppa and looking at the birds.

I just cannot be bothered with smoothies. It is a harsh truth, but the cost - benefits just do not add up.

So, I am a non-smoothie person. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

This is what weirds me out. Has anyone put beans or lentils in a smoothie?!

I will not judge you.

At least, not much.

.... I have one of those... ๐Ÿ˜ณ Are you saying that cleaning can be even more of a hassle?!

Definitely team: I will drink them if served, but do not want to make them.
Oh. My. Yes.

Many (most) blenders don't have a cleaning cycle. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
